These senators are not foolish.Perhaps a few of the intellectual and deep thinking ones are seeing the trajectory Kanu is charting and have eaten the humble pie to acknowledge him as a formidable force to be reckoned with,distasteful as it sounds.

As to all those stuffs you wrote about Referendum, just one thing you missed: All those countries/organisations have it in their Constitution that when things like these happen, "we would decide via a referendum".
Nigerian Constitution does not have that part.
