I don’t think we will start receiving those until we see them in the budget, just like we saw the 2 Mi-35s that got delivered early this year.
Unless we get second hand from excess defense article sales. Russian Air Force is trying to get rid of many, we can grab them for chicken change.

NAF HOLDS INFORMATION CONFERENCE, LAUNCHES BOOKLET ON COUNTERINSURGENCY OPERATIONS

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Directorate of Public Relations and Information, on 22 August 2017, held its Annual Public Relations and Information Conference with the theme "Social Media in Modern Public Relations Practice". The Conference was aimed at re-strategizing and developing the capacity of information personnel to leverage on the use of social media to further project the image of the NAF. The occasion also witnessed the launch of a booklet and posters to remind every NAF personnel why they should be resolute in the fight against insurgency in the country. The booklet and posters would be distributed to NAF personnel in the frontline as well as all NAF units across the country.

Declaring the one-day Conference open, the Guest of Honour, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, acknowledged the unique role of the Directorate in projecting the image of the NAF. According to him, “the Public Relations Specialty in the NAF is a more dynamic and active specialty that now plays a significant role in the day-to-day running of the NAF". Air Marshal Abubakar further stated that the NAF was now better positioned to project air power in an effective, efficient and timely manner towards meeting the nation’s security imperatives. While promising to consolidate on the efforts to build the capacity of NAF Public Relations and Information personnel, the CAS added that he would continue to provide the needed equipment and the enabling environment for the Directorate to perform more efficiently and effectively. The CAS, therefore, urged the participants to utilize the advantages of the knowledge gained from the Conference to project the activities of the NAF via the social media.

While delivering his welcome address, the Chief of Administration, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Lawal Alao noted that the Conference was among series of activities to reposition the NAF into a highly disciplined and professional force by the current leadership. AVM Alao thanked the CAS for the support given to the Directorate to function effectively and urged the participants to learn more on how best to use the social media to the advantage of the NAF.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Director of Public Relations and Information (DOPRI), Air Commodore Olatokunbo Adesanya said public relations is about creating value to generate awareness instead of creating awareness to generate value. “You should never let anyone else tell your story because you are always the best positioned person to tell your own story. While still relying on the traditional media for information dissemination, the NAF strives to tell its own story via its social media platforms”, he said. The keynote lecture, which was centred on the strategic usage of the various social media platforms to project the NAF activities, was delivered by Mr Wole Olaoye, a seasoned and experienced Public Relations practitioner.

Buhari became Head Of State because of reputation and positive inspiring stories from his service to the Army. He never plotted the coup.

SupremeCourt:
Nigeria is a country where good people are sacrificed by bad people, patriots are sacrificed by the unpatriotic. We must fight against this evil.

NAF pilot Hedima's heroic death and sacrifice for you, me and all Nigerians, was denied in news media by Air Marshals Amosun and Badeh because they caused his death with their corruption joined by PDP looter civilians of Aso Rock villa like Dasuki, Dieziani and their gangs.

Nigeria spent $15 billion on military from 2010-2015, that is enough to buy all the weapons of Israel's armed forces.

Wing Commander Hedima was a victim of the fantastic corruption of the past president Goodluck Jonathan government. Looters filled up 99% of government positions, government thieves all over Abuja from civilian to military positions, stealing public money was a professional achievement, the more cash you stole, the greater the respect you get in Abuja.

Finance minister Ngozi Okonja Iweala released the first installment $ 1 billion war money to buy powerful new weapons to fight Boko Haram in mid-2014. Ordinary street people in Abuja were angry when we saw half a billion dollars of that cash was approved by Dr. Jonathan to his PDP party friend and oil businessman Prince Arthur Eze to buy Russian armoured jet warplanes S 25 Fogroot that NAF pilots can fly to bomb Boko Haram without being shot down by dangerous Shekau anti-aircraft guns.

These bullet proof Russian warplanes were never bought because Arthur Eze over-inflated the price as the second hand used jets were priced to NAF at $ 50 million each aircraft, same jets cost only $15 million each in the international market for second hand S 25 Fogroots, meaning that GEJ boy Eze will corruptly steal $210 million from the 6 jets contract, not counting others like helicopters and so on that he was to supply from the $500 million dirty deal. Noise of the leaked jet planes corruption made government change the contract to other types of weapons.

So NAF continued to fly the Alpha jets that have no bullet proof cover and are easy for Boko Haram to shoot down like hunter shooting pigeons form the sky.

Is it not adult age stupidity of a PhD degree holder for President Goodluck Jonathan to have approved very vital warplanes purchases to an oil tycoon Arthur Eze 'Alias Anambra river of money' ? What has a civilian oil businessman got to do with military jet aircraft purchase in a deadly war that was ravaging Nigeria with Boko Haram killing tens of thousands of our men and children, raping thousands of our married women and virgin girls in broad daylight?

Was that not African wickedness of the highest order?

The blood of Nigerian air force pilots like Wing Commander Hedima who died in Borno NE war like cheap chickens, will be on the head of all Nigerian government officials and non-government people who looted military money to enrich themselves while innocent patriotic soldiers died unnecessary deaths from Boko Haram deadly anti-aircraft guns January 2014 to May 2015. May the ghosts of these people whose wives are widowed, whose children are fatherless, whose parents buried their young sons, haunt and torment all these corrupt people forever and ever.

Yet you see on the streets, in newspapers, on TV, on radio, on internet many wicked Nigerians still supporting GEJ for the sake of political party, tribe and religion, wishing PMB dead in London hospital so that corruption can come back to rob poor Nigerians. See how evil Nigerians are? We are our own worst enemies.

Look at that photo below, see the image on the right side, taken minutes before he was beheaded with an axe like a mere goat, see blood stains on the T-shirt of Commander Hedima, may that blood be upon the head of all those who looted Nigeria's military money from 2010-2015, our $15 billion military procurement budget was stolen into private pockets. Thank you Air marshal Badeh, Air Marshal Amosun, thank you PDP, thank you Uncle Joe & Aunty Pat, the former landlord & landlady of Aso mansions, dia ris God o!
Just to add deeper perspective.

I would procure the Sukhoi 25 Frogfoot (flying tank) in the range of $3 million per unit add upgrades avionics, FLIR, etc with external contractors add another. $5k

We can have squadron of 12 aircraft with the full spectrum of ordinances that will last for a year. I am talking about $55 million.

I would be able to have near 500 assorted armored vehicles including MRAPS, IFV'S, APC'S, MBT'S and LAV'S all within a budget of under $450million.

It shows the level of depravity that exists amongst the top brass it all about money not honour. To date even Burutai can not put forward credible explanation for his multi millions $ assets in and outside Nigeria.

The problem is still alive and kicking.

I saw images from the scene today, we've lost some brave men.

Its a pity our top brass has not yet learned from there past mistakes .

We will keep on loosing brave soldiers if we don't invest much on our defence industry. How long shall we keep on transporting men in hilux without no air cover or support, being a Nigerian soldier should not be suicidal. . huh

Let me quickly chip this in. An ambush isn't a siege it is a hit, cause damage and flee stuff. What kind of Air cover are we talking about, drones? Helicopters or what?

Let's take into account that the hallmarks of Insurgency is attrition ..If for every convoy movement some air equipment is used we'd gradually be eroding the useful service life of these assets

In my opinion we must keep harping it. we need more armor. Unprotected vehicles are not used in active zones and we must correct our anomaly

I want to suggest that on 11th of September 2017, we should try and take this to the Front-page to celebrate this hero. We should prepare wonderful eulogies for this unsung hero to further immortalise his names and let the world understand the evil of unchecked corruption.
No one should forget Badeh and his caucus so soon, they deserve some bashing.
B4 that day, we will agree on a particular time when the post will be made so that good comments will be on top b4 educated illiterates hijack the thread.

I think it is time the army authorities created a welfare account for our heroes, the detailes of this account should be published permanently on all Nigerian blogs Front-page.
If we cant join the battle, we can as well honour the families left behind with our resources.
This battle is not for the army alone, no amount of gratitude can replace their sacrifice.
