Keep claiming South-South! Its boldly glaring on the map that the South-East is land-locked! River port you can have and thats for transportation and small cargo ships. Stop claiming the South-South! It will be easier for Arsenal to win the EPL than for Anambra or Abia to have a functioning river port! |

blackaxe78:What is south south? We are talking about the Igbo race and u talking about the nonsense created by dumb politicians. Tomorrow if they wake up and call u south - north you still agree like mumu. . Wake up man Meanwhile Oguta is in Imo state not your south south. Read the post again. |

By your flawed logic, every country of the world have access to sea and therefore no country is landlocked - even Lesotho and Niger republic are not landlocked according to ibos ![]() |

The only ways to the sea are from Igbo lands carefully cut into the south south . The FG did a good job in trying to keep Igbo's away from the sea. Google map is clear. Its only possible to have river ports in the south East. Dredging the Igbo lands in the south south isn't going to be an easy task neither but def not impossible afterall portharcourt was dredged too The ibibios will need to be involved in such projects too even though oron doesn't even need dredging. Hopefully they're friendlies. |

You can be 10 meters away from the sea and if that ten meters doesn't belong to you you're still landlocked. Seaports do not necessarily translate to not being landlocked unless they connect to the sea without passing through an inch of somebody's territory. Those ones you're talking about are INLAND SEAPORTS and cannot be defined as international maritime boundary. Inland seaports, with sufficient capital outlay, can be constructed almost anywhere (even in the desert terrains of the Sahara). . So, my friend, you can see that Igboland is a classic definition of landlocked state. |

Hilarious post" So the Ocean-going ships bringing merchandise to Biafra will have to FLY OVER or SQUEEZE under the bridge linking River State with Akwa Ibom State to get to the proposed Obuaku seaport in Abia Biafra-Land abi ? The same is the case of accessing the Ocean from either Imo or Anambra States cos of the Bridges at Ahoada River State,Kaima Bayelsa State,Patani Delta State. The TRUTH is' Igbo/Biafra Land is simply LAND LOCKED!! |

petsam11:Point of correction, Onne is not in Ogoni land. Onne is a town or village in Eleme LGA. Eleme is not Ogoni. Even though it has not come on the radar of silly politicians in Nigeria, one of the potential seaports in Nigeria is Opu-obu (Opobo). It is a natural deep water seaport in making. |
