Bro you have to ask the seller for imei while chatting. Then you look up the imei online. Any seller that refuses to give you his imei probably has something to hide (maybe stolen phone, icloud locked etc). So asking for imei is really important in screening scammers.

-If ur buying an iphone, pls ask seller for imei num, u den check ur self...."find my phone must be off", b4 i hit the road...if its ON, dont boarder,even if the seller tells you when i come he will put it off.....I will not even waste my time going cos i know them tricks..

-Please also ask the seller if the phone has any issues(cracked screen, power on issues), some of them will not tell you or even advertise the particular area where d crack occured.They feel if u have wasted ur time coming, u will buy any way.

-Please, dont forget, "NO PHONE NUMBER, NO MOVEMENT"..If a seller does not give out his phone number, please search for another deal.....

-Also try as mush as possible to convince the seller to meet me at...Starbucks, Macdonalds or Police station

-I have noticed that it is better and safer doing bizness with the oyinbo peeps(whity)..and .in most cases, when u send a link and i check d area, i no dey too worry if d location is a white concentrated area..
-And i have come to understand that d best deals are in White concentrated area, well i understand most of us want to reduce fuel cost by seaching in areas close to me(black and hispanic areas)...if ur lucky?....cool

i have for the past few weeks observed that some phones which i picked up for my clients, tested them for unlocked status and even called the sellers number with my simcard which i inpute in the phone to be bought.Turned out to be locked when it gets lands Nigeria.

I now understand that there is what we call "UNLOCKED FOR USA USE" , and "UNLOCKED FOR INTERNATIONAL USE".To this end, please note that what ever phones u ask me to go pickup, have it in mind that you should be ready to unlock this phone, even if it has the inscription or tilte "unlocked".and I have tested it and confirmed it to be unlocked.

*Very importantly, avoid any phone "T.MOBILE", be it iphones or samsung, always ask ur seller what carrier is this phone, even if the seller says its unlocked..just try and find out what carrier.

pls see screen shots (reply) from my unlocked in comp village for samsung s8 phones.
