"Insured by the Lord" ....
The sort of thing a typical African Nigerian will say.
Checked your profile: yup. Nigerian.

It's almost 2018, move away from that sort of thinking. Even the bible points out that a watchman is required to watch the property before the Lord will watch over all.
are you done?

What a welcome development, indeed this news just bless my day. I keep saying time over again until Nigerian's start appreciating the importance of INSURANCE to their day to day life we have a long way to go.

For instance fire incident alone have send unaccountable people back to their village, grave, hospital, unimagineable crima, unprepared travel, and etc.

Some thing insurance would have solve in matter of hours. But people ignorantly have refuse to give insurance chance yet at the end suffer most who then is foolish here.

Insurance still remains a totally untouched portion of the financial sector in Nigeria. Most Nigerians still don't see the point of having an insurance and most still don't even know how it works. If these foreign players like Allianz here, with their high level of expertise can get more people to see why they should buy into insurance, then they are most welcome to do business here.
Corporate and government institutions can't operate without insurance, my friend. It's retail insurance that is a bit backward. The lack of welfare infrastructure in the finance sector is responsible. In Nigeria you don't have access to mortgage, you have to pay cash for everything. The government guarantees nothing. This fosters corruption, and means that insurance suffers, as well. Why insure a property when I am almost certain I will pay out of pocket if the unforeseen happens?

True talk my brother
Ignorance is wat is killing Nigerians
As an insurance personnel with AIICO, I can confidently say DAT insurance no only gives protection but its investment benefits is so sweet
I remember seeing where Dangote says banks are legalized thieves cos it is better to get an insurance policy DAT gives u an endowment cover of protection and investment than putting money in the bank. Asides from insurance imbibing savings culture in someone, d ROIs are so sweet, I mean which bank will give u an interest of 40% as ROI on ur annual investment or 12% interest on annual fixed deposit which can be collected INSTANTLYhuh?
Think investment and protection cover, think INSURANCE

I tire ooo. Ignorance is really a disease
I know of a man whose shop got razed that didn't do insurance. Now he is regretting it
Even d Bible made us to understand that there is always an "if" in L(if)E that is why he used Joseph to save Israel in the time of famine if not hunger for kill them.

I tell people to protect their investments and secure the financial future of their family by getting insurance policies. It is beneficial in all aspecta

$13m is the profit reported in FY 2016
Different than their equity which is 5 times their FY 2016 revenue
Then think of their total assets and market capitalization
Oh, there's goodwill too
Valuation of a business isn't so black and white, sir

Personally, I think Ensure Insurance is worth much more
As the fastest growing insurer in Nigeria in 2016, they grew topline by 46% and bottom line by over 300%!
But hey - they are the experts, not me cheesy

@lalasticlala, can this reach frontpage, please?
It's major FDI news.
Allianz SE is the second biggest insurer in the world by weighted measure
