I am a stunch supporter of Dave but he should never ever borrow money from Islamic bank or ADB. The Islamic school in Afikpo is even viewed as a terrorist institution in a peaceful clime such as Ebonyi State. And the consequences of taking money from the Mermaid is usually tit-for-tat. To make things worst, the over taxation and outsouring of the state's IGR to anyone who can afford to pay the price to Dave, has affected the love street people have for him. To erect a two-storey building now in Abakaliki, you'd pay through your nose to get approval from the Abakaliki Capital Territory Development Board. It wasn't like this before and it is slowing down development as our brothers relocating from the North would be finding it difficult to invest or relocate. Annual income tax on traders and shop owners is also extra high. Since the state's vehicle Inspection Office was outsourced, criminals and gang elements were recruited and unleashed on motorists, same applies to EBOTRANS and many others. All these moneys generated so far plus Abuja allocations should be used for the expansion of Abakaliki city and community roads but not ring road. Nonetheless, for me, it's Dave Umahi through 2019-2023. |

aca77:Abakaliki people are very welcoming. You might have had challenges with the tough Igbo dialects there or encountered guys who come from neighbouring towns of Ezzamgbo, Onueke and Ikwo to have fun daily in the city. These guys are strangers too and tend to hook with their cliques. Abakaliki is fun if you know where to go. |

On a scale of 10 to 1, which should be a priority, people oriented projects, like say empowerment or ring road construction? Please sombori should answer. Secondly, why borrow from an Islamic bank? Is the federal allocation not enough to power capital project in the state? Why is the governor so much in love with the media these days? Ebonyians should vote wisely 2019. Enough of this octogenarians dragging us backward and maintaining the state of penury... His former position as the deputy governor, is enough to give him clues as to real governance. What plan does he have in regards to our teeming youths in different parts of this country doing petty business? Whatever that is void of direct impact on the people is a complete waste. Ebonyians, your PVC is your power....enough said. |

aca77:Mehn.. Nigga that's a big lie... When you have evil and have already accepted the lies and false accusations about the state before heading there. .so ironically those eyes you're observing might be niggas who want to get to know you, but with your biased mind you've come up with another interpretation to suit your stereotyped mind.. All same that state is peaceful and friendly to outsiders.. Majority of business and wealthy men there are from Anambra doing their business.. . |

comrChris:I'm not in support of such loan.. But ironically the only reason people sight is their islamphobic nature, which to me is stupidity, since Vatican can't give aid why reject Islam loan.. Loans generally is another tool of modern day slavery Africans don't want to learn to stay away from.. ... This rejection of loan is baseless in as much it's because it is coming from Islam.. I wonder when we will stop defending this our colonised mind and obsession with foreign religion.. . |

aca77:Unfriendly people? You're so wrong. I spent 5yrs studying in the state university. Azugwu, Mile 50, Hill Top and Presco, I lived at all of those places before I graduated. I'm not Igbo and didn't understand the language for a long time but I never once experienced hostility from anyone. |

Nweze1986:God bless a development minded Governor like Umuahi. He is opening up his state and making his state capital world class while haters are there looking for excuses to ban Keke without providing alternative jobs for their people. I remember When Umaru Yar'Adua as Governor of the Katsina State started the ring road project and people doubted it's use or if it will be completed. Today, that project has made Katsina a great city in the northwest and almost caught up developmentally with Kaduna. |

Ebonyi needs development, but not with this kind of loan approach by Dave Umahi. As for the rally in support of the loan, they were all hired crowd and forced aids of the governor. |
