Agbede Adekunle Olagbaye SAID: That is Mike Pence, the Vice President of the United States helping in packing debris from a building in the flood ravaged area. Nigeria only have leaders with heads without brains and bodies without hearts! Buhari is sending thoughts from his village where he is doing sallah while over 100,000 Nigerians are left homeless by floods. Some people think we should just keep hailing Buhari as if the lives of 100,000 Nigerians mean nothing. We don't care about any politician, we are simply saying that our lives matter and the government MUST do their jobs to the fullest. Any politician can go to blazes, we don't care. It is like we don't even value lives on this continent, some people care more about politicians than the lives of vulnerable citizens, like seriously? Between praising Buhari and making sure over 100,000 Nigerians who are now homeless get all the help they need, which one is more important? Is this the best Buhari can offer, like seriously? Or was it not the taxes of these same people that Buhari used to pamper himself in London? Why are African leaders like this? source: AIT News

A TALE OF TWO WORLD LEADERS, SAME
SCENERIO News One: Flood in Houston, Texas 100,000 Houses submerged: US President Donald Trump flies in for on-the spot assessment. Relief materials readily available, prayers offered and wide media coverage. News Two: Flood in Markurdi Benue State : 110,000 people displaced in 24 communities: Nigerian President Muhamadu Buhari arrives his hometown Daura, celebrating Muslim holiday, merries and feast on rams. Not even a federal minister has paid a visit, poor media coverage and nothing more.

velai:No, he's creating documentary and TV advertisement images for future presidential election. He care less about them and his policies as a republican from cuts in emergency funding to staffing, elimination and cut backs in social safety nets, anti climate change policies and so on means more hardship for Texans and the folks affected by the hurricane. This is not leadership by example, it's more like taking advantage, you lead by helping with your thinking and the policies you put in place to help people, not by showing up after disaster to pick up rubbish for 2 minutes in front of TV crews. |
