*S-African �Police Torture Another Nigerian to �Death*

The Nigeria Union in South Africa has confirmed the killing of a member, Kingsley Ikeri, 27, a businessman and native of Mbaitolu in Imo, at Vryheid town in KwaZulu Natal Province on Aug. 30.

The Chairman of the union, Mr Bartholomew Eziagulu, said that Ikeri was allegedly tortured to death. He said the union’s investigations revealed that the police arrested Ikeri and a friend on suspicion that they were carrying hard drugs. He said while interrogating him, the police used plastic to cover his face to extort information from him. “In the process, they suffocated the deceased suffocated. When the police took him to the hospital, he was confirmed dead,” he said.

Can the Chairman of the union tell is what business he was doing in South Africa?

What contract was he getting?

What services was he offering?

What kind of consulting was he engaging in?

What was he buying/importing and selling/exporting?

Irrespective of his crime we still love to see him alive after all is a Nigerian. This people are just over hyping any mere issues with Nigerians

It is not irrespective of his crime.

If you are going to make a complaint about something like this that can have an impact on relations between people, then FULL and UNBIASED transparency is required, not image-brushing.

If he is a drug dealer, then state he is and then leave your now INFORMED audience to make up their minds based on FULL and UNBIASED information.

Don't give a misrepresentation that South Africans are attacking hardworking and innocent Nigerians for NO REASON!

If he is one of those selling drugs, state it and even state how long he has been doing it and the people he has been selling it to (if you know).

Nigerians would respond differently to (a) South African Police extra-judicially killing a Nigerian businessman for no apparent reason, to the way they would respond to (b) South African Police extra-judicially killing a Nigerian drug-dealer notorious for selling drugs to kids in the area.

Don't tailor and package it like "an innocent businessman". Give us the full picture and leave us to decide if it outrages us.
