Alright, thanks.
You had to get a supervisor first before admission?
Secondly I saw something like one having to show proof of adequate resource/finance for studies as part of admission requirement, please how true?
Listen, you only need to show proof of funds to cic. The only thing with funds and admission is if the institution requires you to make payments before issuing you an admission.

Here is a prompt response!

By now, it's not a hidden fact that what these VOs want is conviction.

Go ahead and pay it but you must have a very convincing reason why it's not up to the stipulated amount required of you.

But to be on the safer side, try and pay the exact amount.

Nevertheless, either way it goes, it still depends on the kind of grace and mercy of God your application carries. But that doesn't mean the right thing shouldn't be done.

All the very best and congrats to your cousin.

£1,500 on agent? Even Attorney David Cohen no demand this kind amount for trv. The thing is most people want to study in Canada but don't want to do little research of their own. The ealier we learn to be involve in the decisions that shapes our lives the better for us. Even if someone must use an agent(which I don't advise when it comes to Canada trv ) he/she must be part of every step and must ASK questions. May God see through

Sir/Ma,

Those that made use of agents never knew forums like this exist. While some knew about it after contracting them which CIC is also aware.

Do you know some agents charge up to 3million naira?

But I support the aspect of always being carried along with the agent on every step of the application but not all of them will want such a thing.

It's a very delicate issue but I won't blame anybody.

May God have mercy!!

Please do understand the statement made.
They suggest you HAVE and not SHOW them, because they know this is vital both for your visa process and your continuation in the institution should you not get fundings.
I hope I've done justice to this case

Dont give categorical statement.CIC are funny,Me i submited 17may 2017,uptill now i didnt get biometrics intruction letter.i have my uci number and file number application submited ,i think they have some technical issues.
SamReinvented:

It is very very unlikely for Cic to ask you to do biometrics again for the same application. I doubt this has ever happened before to anyone. Best bet is; your application has been refused and your agent is reapplying without telling you.

If you know what's good for you, collect your info from your agent and check things out for yourself, before he ruins everything for you. Just pray there's no misrepresentation issue or other complications with the refusal.

Its unlikely, but it can happen. Maybe fingerprints didn't come out correctly. And yes CIC does request for updated bank statement. And those saying application was denied and he didn't tell you, aren't you going to find out when you go in for biometrics? They will tell you whether the biometrics is done in compliance from a CIC request or for a new application.

Pay as instructed, burrow from family if necessary. Anything less than what they instructed, would lead to a denial. Its strictly required according to Canadian immigration that you show the ability to foot your educational bills. Paying anything less than what is instructed would lead them to the belief that you are financially handicapped to afford your studies in Canada.

Good Day all,

I'v now Secured an Admisson Offer from U of O, M.Eng for Winter, 2018. I want to start gathering my docs.

First, I will voice out my situation so that the gurus can make an input on how best to present myself.

I intend using my Uncle(Mum's junior bro) who resides in UK as my sponsor. He has 4kids, but he is capable of sponsoring me, at least for the first yr. My mum's present account is a little above 1M NGN,

But recently I was thinking if my Uncle will transfer enough fund to My mum's account so that my mum will act as my sponsor, he can as well transfer some to my account for me to become co-sponsor. This move is to avoid ambiguity when presenting my sponsor...my uncle of cos don't bear same surname with me.

Then, for Home tie, I intend begging my present employer for a study leave letter, then I can use my house rent agreement and receipt which expires Sept 2018 all as home tie.

Pls gurus in the house, How well am I getting.. as January is fast approaching, i intend sending d trv app on or bfr month end, also I will like to do upfront medical, then use paper route.

Thank you as I get ur responses.
God Bless you all

Thank you all.

Actually, I addressed my misrepresentation. I think it is advisable to include that you haven't heard from them after addressing the procedural fairness letter. That's what I did, which I believe was what prompted them to respond to my query.

Please, have you done anything in terms of deferring your program? Were you successful in doing that? Please explain to me what you did about it? Thank you.

First would be.... was your course of study in line with your practical experience?
what course of study?
Don't underestimate home ties, if there are docs of landed properties or business docs you have in Nigeria, do include all.
I guess you are traveling with your son. or not.
But be sure you have all aforementioned in check.
Then you are good

These people have seen our predecessors abandon their families and refused to come back, so I am not entirely surprised they deny someone with a child and wife for lacking home ties. It's at their discretion. I will advice you add landed property and business ties to Nigeria if you have any. But something tells me even if you do in your circumstance, it will not do given the denial even with wife and a child. I think you should try and appeal to their discretion without sounding desperate. Cos they even allow people without wife and children to go. It's all about discretion. You appeal to their discretion by painting yourself as a good guy. Get a letter from your pastor or any respectable leader in society attesting to your good deeds and sacrifice for your family. Anecdotal references by pastor on particular circumstances when your character was called to the test, will go a long way. That might do the trick in your circumstance. And to overcome purpose of visit and travel history, you might want to pay fees. Don't go for PGD if that is what you are going for, change. Get masters if possible. Write detailed letter of explanation why Canada, why your course cannot be taken in Nigeria. Detail your plans upon return back to Nigeria and how your education in Canada will be an investment in the future development of Nigeria.
