Hello everyone,
I am ameri9ja, founder of the Danist movement. Sorry for the somewhat long absence - I was preoccupied with survival issues.
I have been reading the comments and I've come to realise that even some of our most valuable and active members, people like wetinconsignme, don't quite understand the nature of the movement. So it's best to spell things out clearly so we are all on the same page:
1) The list (DAN group list) is a way of calling attention of a large group of people to your post. It does not mean "these people agree with me".
2) The only things Danites agree on are elimination of tribal bigotry, detribalisation, and anti-secessionism. Other than these, any other views expressed by any Danite are his own views and do not reflect the views of any other Danite. One Danite may say Tinubu is the most honest politician, another may reply he is a thief.
3) DAN as a movement is not on the side of any person, group, or party.
4) DAN can promptly remove people who want to be removed from the group. But we are not in the business of removing people who do not want to be removed unless they consistently violate our core principles.
5) You can think of DAN as analogous to Nairaland. Nobody gets banned from NL for expressing their views unless they consistently violate basic principles. Also Nobody gets banned from DAN for views expressed before they became Danites.
5)Asking that you be removed from DAN is like asking to be banned from NL. You simply deprive yourself the ability to correspond with a large group of people. You are the one who loses, not DAN.

Have you guys thought about seeking ways to call out to those in power to change the political structure of Nigeria.
FYI, do you know that the injustices that Ojukwu fought for then during the late 60s has still not been rectified, or do you think agitations would just spring up if there was equality and justice.

This country is a contraception of fraud, where the northern oligarchy loves the status quo, binding the souths as their slaves. Until the status quo is corrected, the nation would never know peace and would never grow.

Besides know that under UN conventions every part of a sovereign nation has right to self determination and succession

I am Igbo. Do u really believe that, generally, hausas are doing better than Igbos in Nigeria? D u really believe that a fulani herdsman.is richer than an Igbo trader. I read somewhere Igbos own over 70% of private buildings in Abuja. Do you really believe the rules in Nigeria do not favor Igbos? Remember we are not in a dictatorship so no one can impose anything. Can't.u see that Igbos, just by being Igbos, have an advantage over other tribes in a democratic Nigeria. Please look at the big picture. not just government stuff.
