Toeing your line, I could say that the SE/SS too are hypocritical in their restructuring calls. Edwin Clark, Dokubo and his ilk were feeding fat when GEJ was there. Edwin Clark especially had GEJ's ear. Why didn't he make a case for restructuring then? GEJ also had a chance to restructure with the Confab he held. But he went about it the wrong way as the confab was constituted in such a way that its resolutions were not binding and were at best, advisory. One could conveniently say that the calls for restructuring now are hypocritical.
You asked why Yorubas didn't call for restructuring under GEJ. The question you should be asking is why NO ONE cslled for restructuring when GEJ was there. Why are you singling out the Yoruba as if they are the only tribe in Nigeria? Personally, I have always supported the need for a whole new constitution. Afenifere (the foremost Yoruba association) has also always been for a new constitution too
