Though the carnage of Hurricane Harvey is currently dominating mainstream media, Texas isn't the only part of the world being ravaged by flooding. International news coverage has largely ignored the torrential rainfall that has been devastating South Asia for almost the entire month of August, and it's time for us all to start talking about it.

This seems to have been the year of floods. Sierra Lone, Houston, Benue...now many parts of India. I pray the worst has passed.

Quite sad...what I can't wrap my mind on is people who jubilate and mock others who happen to fall in such tragic situation. RIP to the deceased

They are stupid animals who reason no higher than mere bugs.

It also shows they are not grateful enough for the fact that, despite Nigeria's appalling lack of any serious Emergency Management Response framework, we've being spared the big ones like Hurricanes, Tsunamis, Volcanic eruptions though I doubt if Landslides/Mudslides are not gonna be featuring frequently in our future soon.

May God be with and help our Benue stranded brothers and may better sense fall on their #Wheel-BarrowGuvnor in this their dire hour of need!
