Am thinking of restocking 300 broilers I have a large pen but want to know the amount of feed they would consume to 7 weeks.

Please when is the best time to stock day old broilers that would mature for Christmas, with average weight of 3.5-4kg as my target

About 55 - 66 bags.

My neighbour uses 11 bags for 50 birds for 8 weeks.

This may not be very correct
For the first 3wks hardly will 50 birds finish 1 & 1/2 bags of feed without wasting the feed so are u saying that for the remaining 5wks they eat 2 bags a week
This many not be mathematically correct at that age

are u sure u are a farmer......cuz even wit battery cage,50 birds will consume up 2 8-10 bags 4 8weeks.....I normally rear broilers with battery cage for 5-6weeks average weight of 1.8kg and I use up 2 15bags of feed for 100birds ....pls don't mislead people ....tankz

Age of bird determines feeding level 200 layers of 22wks eat 1 bag
Broilers of 10wks 100 will eat a bag same cannot be said of day old to 7wks

I guess u normally cage ur day old broiler and feed 50 of them with a bag from day

I don't rear to 7weeks.... I rear to highest 6weeks cuz I am looking at maximum weight of 2kg....I process my birds and sell...DAT is y I don't use more than 15bags for 6weeks
