The currency is weak yet we have so little money in circulation 1,700,000,000,000/180,000,000 =9,444 Which means that less than 10,000 per head. On this list we have multi-millionaires and the poor who feed on less than $1 a day Nigeria is a bleeped up country |

Millz404:it's all about the amount of money in circulation, credit made available to the private sector by banks. Thus, it explains how monetized the economy his and the level of bank development. |

Yea..that a good news..for those that don't understand fully...it doesn't mean inflation going down, neither does it mean increased economic growth...intstead... it helps to reduce the cost of management of monetary policies..monetary policies simply ia about how money is supplied into the system...cost reduced are for example..cost of printing, cost of transport to banks, cost of security of mony, cost of desk teller counters, etc...this means the attitude of ppl towards money usage is changing...the CBN should be applauded and encouraged to do more by advertising for online money transaction in places like facebook, instagram, nairaland, linda ikeji etc...that's where the youths are..not on the old fashion NTA where only mostly conservative old pple view...for example I had mur than 6 bank transaction from the 29 of august to yestdai...but didn't visit any bank...that is what they mean...so guyz..embrace the online system... |

Samexdx:what this tells you is that the cbn has reduced the currency in circulation thus a decrease in supply of currency causes a forceful decrease in price of goods(deflation) and since 1.7trlln is d cash in circulation +3.3trilln quasi money=22trillion bank credit means 22/5 which equals 4.3(means the total debt in īcirculation is 4.3times the real money.) they could increase it upto 15times thereby increasing the suffering of the masses who pays it inform of tax and interest and profits.Good day. |

Few years ago, I couldn't understand the meaning of this write up. You will be surprised 95% of bankers will not understand what was written here too. I laugh.. We are a bunch of financial illiterates.. No wonder many people will prefer to invest in MMM, ISUSU and other money losing schemes.. |

it is a step in the right direction, a drop(money in circulation) means there are fewer money in circulation thus making our naira gain more value a s against other currency, again that there is an increase in bank reserve is as good as the 1st. all this are meant to give our naira a value in world MKT. my humble opinion |
