zanogo:Oh shut it!! I should be complaining about airheads like you who gulp up all the garbage and propaganda spewed. THAT is why this nation is where it is today because you folks could not, and still can't, reason/think for yourselves. Deziane is no saint, but she's yet to be convicted by a court of competent jurisdiction. She has even gone as far as challenging the EFCC to link those properties to her. You'd think the agency will jump to the challenge, but NOPE! It's all about media trials. No wonder the courts have thrown out most of the cases as they lack MERIT. So please stow that bullcra.p. of yours. |

stanluiz:That will burn Nigeria to the ground. The North is actually stronger than the South. They got the population, they fill the defence, they have lots of rich people, they are loved more by the Whites and most importantly they are ONE! On the other hand we here in the South are just fooling ourselves. |

It's OK but Pls let's stop all this hate. Let's all especially the youth be rational in our thinking and judgement. One thing I know and have experienced is if we do not speak against lies and injustice, it will surely backfire, maybe not in this generation. Let's think of the future generations. Even when we speak against injustice and evil, we may not see the results immediately but God, the perfect Judge has heard our cry and will surely preserve our descendants. The Bible says in Ezekiel :Father have eaten sour grapes and children's teeth are on edge. This saying must stop in Israel". Remember, Children are preserved by the action of their parents. Thank you. mayorchelsea: |

[s] zanogo:[/s] Why Dieziani dey worry you? Is she the only thief? Is she the only one who ever stole? Those who demand equity must come with clean hands. You can not be selective in your condemnation of criminals. If you want to be fair then ask why Abacha loot that was recently repatriated is yet to be accounted for but rather it is the fictitious $50bn Dieziani loot and the incredibly foolish lie of fake $200bn Dubai loot that they are running after. Keep deceiving yourself only on your fake mythical anti corruption stance |

hegelian:Bros, I salute your courage for decisive actions. Please, what happened exactly? Is it that the northerners never wanted non-indigenes even after voting for PMB or is there something else you observed? I never supported PMB because he is not a good national leader. He is more of a religious sectionist than a political leader. All the times he was ever given leadership position, he had a surrogate who actually called the shots! In 1983, he was figure head while Idiagbon called the shots. In the 90's at PTF, he was never in control, his cousin called the shots and stole Nigerians blind!! Even now that he is Head of State, he is not really in control of the ship of the nation!! If not for the politics of sit-tight and nepotic conmen attached to him, Osinbajo would have called the shots effectively. In any way, he wouldn't have had any chance in the last election if ex-president Jonathan was more decisive and courageous against corruption and policy implementations. I am not a PMB supporter but looking back and at the present, if ex-president GEJ was returned, the Nigerian wealth would have been looted completely dry by now. |

SHTFguy:The verse you quote out of context Surah al-‘Araf – Verse 163 ﻭَﺳْﺎَﻟْﻬُﻢْ ﻋَﻦِ ﺍﻟْﻘَﺮْﻳَﺔِ ﺍﻟَّﺘِﻲ ﻛَﺎﻧَﺖْ ﺣَﺎﺿِﺮَﺓَ ﺍﻟْﺒَﺤْﺮِ ﺇِﺫْ ﻳَﻌْﺪُﻭﻥَ ﻓِﻲ ﺍﻟﺴَّﺒْﺖِ ﺇِﺫْ ﺗَﺄْﺗِﻴﻬِﻢْ ﺣِﻴﺘَﺎﻧُﻬُﻢْ ﻳَﻮْﻡَ ﺳَﺒْﺘِﻬِﻢْ ﺷُﺮَّﻋﺎً ﻭَﻳَﻮْﻡَ ﻻَﻳَﺴْﺒِﺘُﻮﻥَ ﻻَﺗَﺄْﺗِﻴﻬِﻢْ ﻛَﺬَﻟِﻚَ ﻧَﺒْﻠُﻮﻫُﻢ ﺑِﻤَﺎ ﻛَﺎﻧُﻮﺍ ﻳَﻔْﺴُﻘُﻮﻥَ 163 . “And (O Muhammad) ask them about the town that was by the sea, when they exceeded (the limits) of the Sabbath when their fish came to them on the day of their Sabbath, appearing on the surface of the water; but on the day they did not keep Sabbath, they (the fish) did not come unto them. Thus did We try them for the transgressions they used to commit.” By the command of Allah, hunting fish on the Sabbath was forbidden for this group of the Children of Israel who were living on the bank of the sea. (Maybe, it was the Red Sea, beside the land of Palestine, which is known’Ilāf Harbour today). But, on that very day, fish were seen with a more tremendous amount, so that people’s mouths watered. This circumstance was a divine trial for them. Those people exceeded the law of Allah deceitfully, and, by making pools on the bank of the sea and banning the way of the fish therein, they captured them in those pools on Saturdays, the which were easily hunted on Sundays. Then, they claimed that, according to the commandment, they had not hunted them on the Sabbath. The verse says: “And (O Muhammad) ask them about the town that was by the sea, when they exceeded (the limits) of the Sabbath when their fish came to them on the day of their Sabbath, appearing on the surface of the water; but on the day they did not keep Sabbath, they (the fish) did not come unto them. Thus did We try them for the transgressions they used to commit.” Therefore, by legal tricks and deceit, the real feature of sins may not be changed, (like making pools on the seaside for hunting fish on the following day). In one of his sermons, Hadrat Ali (as) has intensively criticized the justification of sins, and the justification of ‘wine’ with ‘date liquor’ (nabith), ‘bribery’ with present, and ‘usury’ with ‘transaction’. 164 . “And (remember) when a group of them said: ‘Why do you admonish a people whom Allah will destroy or punish with a severe punishment?’ They said: ‘In order to have an excuse before your Lord, and that they may keep from evil’.” It seems that, from the point of behaviour, the Children of Israel were divided into three groups. One group, who formed the majority, were the violators of Divine Law. The second group were the sympathetic admonishers. The third group were those who were inattentive to the social evil affairs. The latter ones told the sympathetic admonishers not to make themselves tired, for their preach would not affect the mischief makers and, in any case, the corruptors should be the dwellers of Hell. But those who enjoined right and forbade wrong said that their action was not useless. They said the least thing was that they were excused with Allah. Yes, the members of societies are usually found in the category of these three groups. In Surah Al-Mursalāt, No. 77, verses 5 and 6, we recite: “And by those who reveal the (Divine) Reminder,” “to justify or to warn.” It should be noted that ‘forbidding wrong’ is necessary for completing the statement and having excuse with Allah. The verse says: “…They said: ‘In order to have an excuse before your Lord…” We must not justify our faults with ‘Divine will’ . The verse says: “And (remember) when a group of them said: ‘Why do you admonish a people whom Allah will destroy or punish with a severe punishment?’…” Unfortunately, those who are inattentive to the evil affairs, instead of protesting against the corruptors, protest against those who enjoin the right. But, even if we do not probable a good effect, we must forbid the wrong in order to complete the statement and to have excuse before Allah. However, godly people are not hopeless of improving the society. The verse concludes: “…and that they may keep from evil.” 165 . “So when they forgot what they were reminded of, We delivered those who forbade evil and seized those who were unjust with a dreadful punishment for the transgressions they used to commit.” 166 . “So when they defied what they had been forbidden from, We said to them: ‘Be you apes scouted’.” In this verse, the Qur’ān implies that finally mammonism overwhelmed them and they forgot the command of Allah (s.w.t.), therefore they confronted the bitter moment of punishment. The verse says: “So when they forgot what they were reminded of, We delivered those who forbade evil and seized those who were unjust with a dreadful punishment for the transgressions they used to commit.” Who Were Delivered? From those three groups of people: (the sinners, the inattentive ones, and the admonishers), only the third group were secured from the punishment of Allah. As the Islamic traditions indicate, when this group, the third group, saw that their admonishments were not effective in the wrong doers, they became worried and said that they would go out of the city. They left the city at night and went into the desert. Accidentally, by that very night, the retribution of Allah befell upon the couple of the abovementioned groups who were inside the city. The sort of their retribution is explained in the second verse of the above verses as follows: “So when they defied what they had been forbidden from, We said to them: ‘Be you apes scouted’.” It is clear that the commandment saying ‘Be you’ , here, is a genetic command, which means they changed immediately in the shape of ‘apes’. According to some Islamic literature, of course, those who were transformed continued to live only for a few days, and then they died, so that there could appear no generation from them later. https://www.al-islam.org/ |

unohbethel:I was a corper in 2011. Served in Jos. My friends in Bauchi & Katsina told me how PMB's irresponsible statement caused the death of many innocent corpers. Today, PMB is talking against hate speech. He should apologise for the death of those corners & all that died as a result of his speech. He really need to be lectured on human relations. And to the northern leaders, Alfas and Imams, they should know that uttering hate speeches causes the death of innocents by the hands of their zombie like followers. As for Yorubas who supported PMB in 2015, it's unfortunate GEJ disappointed Nigeria. PMB was seen as a better candidate than GEJ as at 2015. It's the bitter truth IPOBs don't wanna hear. They should put their house in order & see if they won't get massive support even from the north. I believe in one Nigeria but APC led govt are lieing too much. |

julietm123:You are already. How many northerners pay tax? The alcohol tax that southerners contribute the majority is shared disproportionately in favour to the Islamic north. Part of you servitude as kafirs or dhimmis in an Islamic State is that you can not serve in the military to which they have started implementation at the top and officer cadre by forcefully retiring and relinquishing command posts held by southern kafirs which is sending a message that as non-muslins you have no business in the army. The religious bill, which El Rufai is still proposing, hoped to regulate the registration, licencing, establishment and construction of new churches. In an Islamic State, Christians can not build or repair churches and the cross is banned from view and also church bells can not be rang. You are just one step to living in an Islamic State all thanks to the fools in the south. |

Ucheosefoh:Yorubas should ask, What is the essence of this thread? Does IPOB now love Yorubas so much that they are still reeling from the pain of a Yoruba boy murdered by Hausa Fulani mob 7 years ago? An Uche who said this; Ucheosefoh:a couple of years ago, is now crying over a Seun that was murdered in 2011. It is cruel for someone to use someone else's tragedy to score cheap political points. There had been many of the OP's fellow brothers that had been murdered by Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen and even his own people (50 mystery bodies float on Anambra river Read more at: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/01/50-mystery-bodies-float-on-anambra-river/ ), the OP is oblivious of these, but is obsessed with a Yoruba boy murdered by "Buhari's supporters" |

But as I said, non of that is my headache. Just so you know, General Afonja was never defeated in any battle. He was a warrior per excellence although he failed as a politician by reaching alliance against his own people with the Fulani who assassinated him in 1824. At this time, your own people were dwelling in caves when Oyo empire had standing armies and control over parts of present day Nigeria, Benin Republic, Togo and Ghana. You can justifiably mock General Afonja if anyone, a single person ever in your pre-colonial history matches his pedigree. |

This is the problem we have been facing as a people. Always neglecting the basis in an issue but dig in to the periphery. Well, it was bad for people to have taken laws into their own hands and maimed lives but we need to be very careful, especially if we are in the dark of happenings. The type of rigging and scientific rigging PDP devised then can make Pope to lose his cool. Since 2003 elections in Nigeria has-been marred with rigging. Specifically in 2007 when Presidential Election petition was taken to Supreme Court, I'm their lead judgement it was clearly stated that the election did not complied with electoral law but the justices still went ahead to upheld the election. Before the judgement delivery, the then President, Musa Yar'adua did say publicly that he knows the election that brought him in was rigged and it was corroborated by the apex Court. Come 2011, the same scenario played out. We need to know that election can only be rigged where you have popularity. Wanting to right where you're not popular always lead to unrest and that was what happened even in 2015 in some states. Especially during gubernatorial elections that death rate was high in many states. When the case was taken to the same apex Court in 2011 it was always affirmed that the election did not meet up with electoral law but they still went ahead to upheld the election. All these issues are the one given birth to unrest. When the will of the people are Surchanged and those to correct the abnormality refused because of the fear that preoccupied their minds. Kenya just broke the jinx and set pace for Africa. Ordinarily all the elections from 2003 -2011 are to be won by PDP but greediness made them want to over-rigged. For Buhari to say the election in 2011 was rigged has not constituted to hate speech. After the election same day he bear his mind when he was interviewed and he said, it has already be rigged. That wasn't an hate speech. Point of reminder, the baboon and monkey will soak in blood wasn't paid during election but in 2013 in reference to a question asked him. In Kenya the opposition figure, Raila, said same that the election was scientifically rigged. I listened to them when they say it wasn't rigged during accreditation and voting but it was rigged during collation. The number that voted was not the number announced by IBDC. Countless number of politicians in and out of Nigeria have publicly announced that election was rigged to certain individual favour, those were not hate speeches. The bottom line, rigging an election in an unpopular environment gave birth to what happened in 2011 and same happened in 2015 in some states and not because he said election was rigged. Can we also say it was because someone said, any where you hear A P C kill them also gave birth to The Killing in 2015. Aside from Fayemi Kayode and Jonathan Goodluck that voluntarily conceded defeat that I know, 98percent always say, the election was rigged. It wasn't his word that caused the killing but rigging in an unpopular environment and this happen everywhere in Nigeria. People will just go and dig out issue that suit their thought to make them stay afloat and on the cause leave the substance and chasing shadow. I've said it taking people lives in atonement for rigging is satanic and unlawful but we must know is not everybody that can bear staying as you Sur-changed them. Many people till date have vowed not to vote because their vote doesn't count. In 2007 I went to pooling boot to vote, on approaching I was told to go home that they needed not any one vote and immediately I turned back but if it was someone that cannot tolerate such, that would've resulted to another untold. Until the game is played according to the rule of the game, we'll continue to experience such. And I bet 2019 election, a party will still come out to say it was rigged. |
