Precisely on the 12th of June 2017, i tried to fund one of my online account on via the quickteller.com platform with the sum of N10,000 and the response showed transaction successful however after over four hours, I discovered my account hasn't been credited. Therefore, I contacted quickteller customer care and they confirm to me that my account was not credited because the transaction failed but my bank account (0043198017) was debited to the tune of N10, 100(N100 for transaction fee on quickteller.com).

13th June
Having confirmed the status of the transaction from quickteller’s customer care, I called my bank customer care, lodged a formal complaint, and was told it would be investigated and I would get a feedback. My complaint was lodged and assigned CASE NUMBER: DB-170613283651

The endless wait
Days later i was told my case has been reviewed and closed and a refund has been initiated if the other bank accept claim and was given a particular date (about 14 working dates). The date came and gone and still no refund and no update.

Few days after the expected date of refund I contacted the bank again and was told i would get an update precisely on the 25 of July 2017. By 23rd of July, I sent a reminder email and was told that i will get an update by 25th.

By 26th July I got and update from diamond bank written by one OGOCHUKWU ONWUELINGO and i quote part of his mail below.

"We are sorry that your complaint is taking a while to resolve and sincerely apologize for that.
We, however, appeal for your patience as a refund is expected to be paid to you on 10/8/2017 if other bank accept claim."
On the 3rd of August, I sent a reminder email and I reply was that I should be patient till the 10/8/2017 as earlier advised for an update.

10th of August came and passed, No refund from the bank and no update whatsoever. By 16th August (About 6 days after), I decided to contact the bank via email. The email was again replied by Mr. OGOCHUKWU ONWUELINGO, this time around he said “We are working towards resolving this complaint on or before 28/8/2017” and that if on that date i don’t get any feedback, I should send them another mail.
Before 28th August, I sent them another email and this time around, they reply me that I would get an update or refund by 10th September, 2017. Now today is 10th September 2017 and yet no refund and no update.

I do understand that there are always many parties involved when it comes to online transaction however what I don’t understand is why the bank cannot maintain a consistent communication channel with the customers. May I also add that aside that of 13th June, I also had a case with CASE NUMBER: DB-170706639043 that was never talked about again simply because I did not bother to ask for an update.
