@Op you should read my review below. I think Oukitel is better Homton HT50 vs Oukitel U20 Plus Performance: I think for every smartphone user, performance comes pretty much before everything. The Homton spots a 3gb ram , with a quad core 1.3ghz Mt6737 processor, which should pretty much handle apps and some games well. Well, you should note that the processor determines about 70% of a mobiles performance. The Oukitel steps up by featuring a 1.5Ghz Mt6737T ( notice the T) processor, with a 2gb ram , now on real life usage , the processor speed boost on the Oukitel more than serves enough to outperform the old 1.3ghz on the Homton , despite the ram increase. you will notice this when playing heavily intense games or running strenuous app tasks. Benchmarks on antutu also give same results. Homton HT50 - 27000 antutu score https://www.kimovil.com/en/homtom-ht50/antutu Oukitel U20 plus- a whooping 40,000 https://www.kimovil.com/en/oukitel-u20-plus/antutu So as you can obviously see the Oukitel performs better with a faster processor. Display: These days displays are the first catching thing you notice on a smartphone. Imagine a 720p display stretched on a 5.5 inch screen, you could literally see the pixels. So these gives the Homton a total of 267 ppi , which is really not impressive based on today's standards. The Oukitel steps up by featuring a Full Sharp HD display of 1080 × 1920 pixels( 1080p) which relates to 401ppi, by comparison the Samsung s5 is a 430ppi with same FHD display. From use, I can tell you that it's display is a steal for it's price and is better than all 720p screens out there. it features clean whites , Sharp contrast, and a very bright screen - in technical terms its brightness is above 500nits, in comparison the iPhone 7 is 625 nits, while the Homton is below 450. Contrast ratio Oukitel(1:2000), iPhone 7(1:1400) the higher the better. The Oukitel gallantly trumps over Homton. Camera: The Homton spots an 8mp sensor at the back as against the 13mp you may see on some sites. but is interpolated to 13mp which means it uses an 8mp sensor but picture sizes are of 13mp, but it's still basically an 8mp camera. the front camera is also 8mp interpolated to 13mp the same way with a front facing flash. Oukitel steps up with a 13mp Sony IMX135 sensor ( same camera sensor is found in LG G2, G3, Samsung S4, and Note 3) interpolated to 16mp and a 0.3 mp dual camera setup at the back. the other camera is just for the SLR effect( which is not really useful). EIS also available. And on the front we have a Galaxycore 5mp sensor interpolated to 8mp. So the Oukitel wins this side again. Battery: The Homton has a 5500 mah baterry which is more than enough for an average user, and good also for an heavy user. So it should pull out through more than a day. And a plus here is the Fast charging which comes with it. so you can get enough juice within a short time of charging. it's also removable if this matters to you. The Oukitel comes with a 3300mah, which is pretty okay for an average user, but might require to be charged in a day for heavy users. a minus is that it doesn't support fast charging tech, so it can take up to 2.5 hours using the stock charger, and it is non removable which is the trend this days in order to make slimmer and more aesthetically looking phones. So the Homton wins this one. Design and general looks: Both devices look great, but considering it's slimmer size and polycarbonate unibody finish (which looks like metal), the Oukitel is better looking, also you could mistake this phone for an iPhone 7, based on it's dual camera placement, and round edges. The homton ht50 on the other hand is a little bit thicker with a plastic finish. Oukitel wins Rom: The Homton spots a 32gb rom storage , which should be 27gb after been occupied by system apps , while the Oukitel is a 16gb rom (11.5gb usable). and both spot expandable storages up to 128gb. If you still intend on using an external memory with any of these device , this shouldn't be a major factor in your decision. but if do not, the Homton best serves you. Homton wins. So where do you stand. A better performance, display, Camera and general design [ Oukitel U20 plus ] as against a better battery performance and bigger Rom [ Homton HT50 ] You choose. for factory full specs Oukitel U20 plus: https://www.devicespecifications.com/en/model/36253fba Homton HT50 : https://www.devicespecifications.com/en/model/56af442f. |

Chinedujustin:Thanks for your time bro.. What can you say about the Doogee mix lite?? That phone won my heart in several ways.. Especially the design, gosh it's a beauty to behold!! And I love being unique, I mean using a bezel-less phone this days can be one hell of a unique something.. Corning gorilla glass 5 for the front and back, 13mp+13mp, front fingerprint scanner etc... Jesu!! Abeg what can you say about the Doogee mix lite as a phone?? What's your opinion about Doogee as a brand?? |
| Re: China Won't Kill Me With Options! Please Help A Nairalander Make A Choice. by Chinedujustin(m): 12:17pm On Sep 13, 2017 |
NLOwner:Okay my honest and unbiased review is this. Design: Yes the doogee mix lite comes with the latest protection installment which is the gorilla 5, both on the front and back sides , which gives the phone a very unique design, to be honest the bezeless design is also impressive, since that's 2017 latest trend. it generally has a sparkling look. Camera: This seems to be the major selling point of this device, it features dual 13mp Samsung sensor cameras destined to give you pleasant pictures, it's second 13mp camera is for the bokeh effect, that is, you can blur background and focus on objects. dual flash, and the front camera is good also, 8mp Samsung sensor. Display: the display doesn't really meet up to expectations as it features a 720p ips screen, and a 280ppi, which might be okay for some users. so you don't expect to experience that Sharp and.pixeless display you'll get on other FHD and QHD phones. Although gorilla glass 5 could improve the display by given it a clearer look. Performance: Another letdown by doogee, the mix lite features a 1.3ghz mt6737 processor with a 2gb ram, which is very usable, but as against Oukitel and Homton which offer a faster processor and bigger ram respectively, it's a little behind. so its benchmark narrows down to 27000 antutu score. Battery: one of the advantages of a slower processor and lower screen resolution might be less battery drainage. But does that really matter- no, as higher processors have better power efficiency, the mix lite comes with a 3080mah battery, which also doesn't support fast charging, so this might be the crossover line for some others. and it's also non removable which doesn't matter. but I'm still yet to check the efficiency, but theoretically it should last just a day on average usage. Storage: The mix lite comes with a 16gb rom, but one surprising thing is that there is no support for an external storage, which is a let down on the side of doogee. price also should be below 100$ so will a good aesthetic design, and great camera be your choice over other letdowns the phone offers. you choose. and generally the doogee brand is a reliable brand too, and the doogee mix is a totally better phone than the doogee mix lite, but that depends on where your pocket lies. http://www.doogee.cc/detail/mix-series-bezel-less-smartphone/121 |

NLOwner:yes, very unfortunate, tho might be because of the edge to edge display, so they found it hard to fit a slot for external storage. |
