please someone should help me out. i have a mercedes benz (VITO) mini space bus its consuming too much fuel, emitting black smokes and now, the last mechanic we called to check it said its not shocking. WHAT SHOULD WE DO?

What do you mean by shocking or you mean choke like we see on generators?

Besides if a mechanic cannot give you a simple description of his terms he himself/herself doesn't understand the word been used

first let,me ask you, have you scan the car if not try to scan it l know it ill give u code any codes you see let me konw

if its not "shocking",guess is that its a petrol engine


but then if theres no spark,how wld it start and emit black smoke?

What you should do:
1 Park the bus...leave it alone.
2. Take a long rest.
3. Seek out a Mercedes Benz mechanic.
4. I will recommend Odubee aka code red.... He is purely a Mercedes Benz technician.

Sorry if the complain is not well detail for you to understand. I mean it was emitting black smokes and consuming to much fuel when it was still moving but we decided to park it and get a mechanic and when we got one it was not starting again it was that one that said there is no spark. i hope you understand it now?

When dealing with diagnosis, you need to stay with them and ask question, When he says there is no spark, is it in all the plugs or just some particular ones? Also he should retrace his steps, it would have been easier if you had been there to monitor him, he could have plugged something incorrectly or forgotten to connect something.

No spark is associated with the coil packs, i dont know how your engine is but you will start from anything associated with the coils, look for another mechanic that deals solely in benz or bmw let him help you look into it.
