Hi everyone, welcome to my first smartphone unboxing review. The Hong Kong smartphone maker has been tightening it game in the smartphone market lately, gaining more grounds in different markets across Africa and the Asia. As a result, one could just sleep and wake up to a new dawn of the day, as well as a “new dawn of smartphone” from Tecno. Well, we love it that way, and let them keep it coming because, we’ll be here to play with them in different reviews and testing, just as Am going to do today, with the Tecno Spark K7. So once again, you are welcome to the Tecno Spark K7 Unboxing Review and Antutu Benchmarks.

The Tecno Spark K7 is actually the door opener to the Spark series, as well as the smartphone to open the review doors of DroidAfrica. So let run through the specifications of this device at a glance

Tecno Spark K7 Unboxing Review
Please understand that this is just the Unboxing Review of this device, and the full review should follow shortly. However, I chose to run an Antutu benchmark, so to aid early buyers make a comparison of this device a what they already have (processor performance wise), but if you can wait for the full review, well, it just up to you.

What’s in The Box?
My review unit came completely in orange color, with minimal writing on the box. Even the Tecno Mobile symbol is kept almost hidden, with the whole details and focus on the bold SPARK label.

On opening the box, I was greeted with the 5.5-inch device still covered with yet another Orange detachable screen guard. At this point, I was now thinking, Tecno had made a mistake by sending out an orange colored device, instead of the claimed Phantom Black on the park. But No! The device is Black, but just hidden in orange box.

Deep into the box, I saw:

A 1.2A white charger
A white USB 20 cord
The normal Tecno wired earpiece you know. yea, I mean that one that look exactly like Infinix.
A TPU silicon case and
The K7 of course

Look Bro, I must be sincere with you, your words seriously encouraged me. I even made a video review, and was about uploading to YouTube. But got discouraged kind when I saw so many 'sharp sharp' reviews about the phone on YouTube.... I was even writing another Unboxing article about the Infinix Hot 5. But since the inner strength went away, the inspirations stopped coming. But you just encouraged, and I'm grateful.

Yes... A screen guard is already on the phone.

No 4G because the available processor is Mediatek MT6580. All MT65XX series are 32-bit processor built on ARM Cortex-A7 architecture, which does not support 4G standalone, except when combined with another separate 4G chip.

Mediatek processor that supports 4G LTE are all 64-bit process built on ARM Cortex-A53 and above, which includes all MT67XX and MT87XX series.

The Spark K9 should support 4G though, because it will ship with Mediatek MT6753 SoC.

I'm not sending anything to you. I'm posting an unboxing video under a thread that reads unboxing of the phone in question. If you've already seen the unboxing and you wanted to see it again, that would be the only reason you'd open the thread in the first place, isn't it?

The video is geared towards people who haven't seen it before and so is this thread itself.

Still, unto tech doings, someone earlier shared a thread on how much it cost to produce an iPhone x and it interestingly made Nairaland's front page.

Thought I should share this also.

Personally, I felt Apple's is strongly going to take Samsung head-on with its Fast charge and wireless charge feature, but...

Unfortunately, Apple won't give you fast charging when you buy any of the new iPhones. You'll need to pay extra money.

For christ sake, it is some people's salary somewhere in Surulere.
