Hello house, is it possible to change sponsor within the space of one month of denial, this time with new sponsor transferring living expenses & paying tuition, both evident on statement of account or using the former sponsor, but with no evidence of transfer from the account? Has anyone changed sponsor within a short period & was approved? Thanks

You are free to use whichever format that you feel best presents your case to the VO. Do keep in mind though that here is no silver bullet formula. In whatever you do in your next application, make sure that your explanations to the VO are crisp and clear.

I don't think you'd get a faster response because your resumption date is soon; CIC doesn't seem to operate this way in most cases.

I'm new here and I really don't know how things are done here but I greet everyone. I just checked Google about Canada visa information and I was shown here. Well, I won't say it's late getting here but my Canada visa was refused. It's my first refusal, the reasons are
1) have sufficient & available financial resources without working in Canada to pay tuition fees for program intend to pursue
2) travel history
3) purpose of visit
4) employment prospect in country of residence
5)current employment situation
6) personal assets and financial status

My sponsor is my father's friend and he gave me his bank statement and also transfered money to me after paying tuition and accommodation.
I have traveled to Togo (I normally go there for small business buying)
I'm going for undergraduate studies : science (University transfer) in a college (I will move to a university after a year study in the college)
I submitted my bank statement with alot of money apart from that of my sponsor
I'm a volunteer (been doing it after sec school, although I still travel to Togo to buy things to sell)
Im 20 years not married (finished sec school 2 years ago)
I showed my land papers as assets and ties

I don't think so as long as a verifiable source of the fund is provided

ideally I would suggest you have your tuition fees+12k CAD(10k required) + little extra to show you have backbone after sponsoring ya self.....

If he is to be my sponsor and I use his bank statements, would it be okay?
Would it help to convince the VO of returning to home county after study or would it make the VO feel I don't have strong home ties?

depends on the program and school you want to attend but it is generally required. the two mostly taken tests for english language proficiency are TOEFL and IELTS.

Yes you can change. Showing closer family relationship to sponsor is also preferable and more believable.

Kindly pardon me for this long post. I've been an ardent follower of this thread for over a year, however i've been silent here regarding my application. I have applied twice and denied on both occasions for different reasons. I feel it's time i come out openly so that i can get all possible support i can get, Here is a summary of my app.

1st app:
Applied Sept 30, 2016
Denied 8 weeks after in Nov, 2016.
Proposed prog: Masters in Network Technology
Undergraduate: B.Eng in Elect Engr(2013)
NYSC (2014)
Between 2014 and 2015, worked briefly in a school where i taught maths but didnt include it in my app. I enrolled for a Networking training btw 2015 and 2016. Passed the certification exam (CCNA) in May, 2016. Was able to get a document from the institute i had the training where it was stated the period of training and also that i started an unpaid internship after the training and my certification exam.

Docs submitted:
All CIC docs.
Upfront medical
Bachelors degree and transcript.
Resume
Admission letter
Sponsor's letter
Cert from institute i did networking training where it was stated that i did training with them and also had unpaid internship afterwards with them even as at the time i put in my application.
CCNA certificate (an international networking certification exam). Got certified after the training in May, 2016.
Siblings' and parent's birth certs
police report
Sponsor's (brother) docs: (tax clearance. introduction letter from employer, SOA with good inflow and outflow, Land docs, birth cert showing same parents, international passport data page).

Reasons for first refusal: Insufficient fund (the 2nd and 3rd boxes were ticked)
I applied for GCMS file and it stated that "d applicant is being sponsored by third party. limited evidence provided t show the relationship btw applicant and sponsor. Based on the evidence provided, I am not satisfied that applicant has sufficient available funds for tuition and ukpeep during first year of studies in CA".

To tackle this in my 2nd application: Sponsor paid tuition for a year and also transferred an equivalent of 10k CAD to my personal account. Also , did affidavit of sponsorship. I started working with a Telecom services company though on contract based as at the time of the application. The contract was to end in same month i applied for trv. So, i included the contract letter, recent SOA of sponsor, my personal SOA where the upkeep was transferred, tuition receipts, telex copy of tuition payment made from sponsor's account. I was supposed to reume Fall, 2017. At the end of August, sent in subtle request for deferral to my dept but haven't gotten a reply. Probably because i've deferred upto 3 times. Intend to send a reminder

2nd app:
applied in July, 2017
Refused on the 17th of Sept.
Reasons ticked: Travel history, purpose of visit and personal assets/financial status.


Though, i seemed confused at the reasons given of the 2nd refusal, i'm already in the process of ordering for my gcms and will also like to apply one more time. Will really appreciate your input. Quite hurtful, but i remain positive that when there is life, there is hope. Much thanks my bosses in anticipation of your reply.

Hope not PGD? Your application was handled by two different VOs it's clear to me. The second one that made the decision on your second refusal was at discretion to make his/her own independent decision and so did, adding two more reasons she/he deemed you ineligible for a TRV. Order GCMS notes and let's take it from there.

Baba J, thanks for ur reply. I actually wrote SOE/SOP stating all that. how I enrolled for the networking training because of the passion I have for d course and other reasons with plans upon return to Nigeria. I actually studied Elect Engr, going for Masters in Networking technology. Yeah, hopefully, the GCMS note will explain the real reason. Thanks once again for ur concern.

I will advice you wait to avoid going in circles. With the note, you will note the real reason why you were rejected. You have already waited for sometime, an extra week or two wait, wont kill.

Thanks for your contribution. What I mean instead is that my previous application was 3 months old before it got rejected. I am sure CIC must have done some checks. Will that result to a faster processing time?

Send a mail to info@gcmsnow.com stating that your note has exceeded 30-40 days processing time. I sent them a mail & got mine 11hours later.

Austinpee4 was having challenges yet had time to go through my SOP, Mcobex explained stuffs to me based on his previous denial and this was a big help. I appreciate. Nuendo is the great grand father had to give explanation even on POE and his gala with medix he bought from Nija before travelling. I also appreciate canadiannurse who sent me copy of proof of funds too.

I got admission Into Niagara College for Jan 2018 for Environmental management and assessmemt,i studied Environmental Toxicology and conservation management for Bsc(2016). My Nysc POP is Nov 3rd . My dad is the one paying my fees but his friend(has his own company) is to act as my sponsor because of the regular in-flow and outflow of cash. Is it compulsory to open a dom account or just his sponsorship letter is enough for me? And my program is for a year(2 terms) I want to pay for a term.. Hope it's no big deal?
