I have crossed over from deeply religious to being atheist and now exploring spirituality.

I have been vegan for over a year and I'm now beginning to focus on and improve my meditation practices in order to raise my vibration.

I have the following questions to ask and I'd deeply appreciate your response

1. Is there a defined process to take ( e.g stage 1 before 2, and 2 before 3)? I find that I am eager to try astral projection even when I havent mastered deep meditation. Is this advisable?

2. During meditation, how do I keep my space pure and safe from negative beings /energies

3. When I eventually connect with my "higher self" how do I know that it truly is and not some malicious being

4. How do you stay rooted in your physical life/experience. I have heard of people getting lost in meditation and spirituality that nothing else seems to matter to them.

I also appreciate dear friend sarassin for his wonderful input. Yes as you heard from Sara, there are entry rituals for every neophyte attempting the work of prophet ie becoming a magician (1). Quabalistic cross, in Catholicism, it's represented with "sign of the Cross" . (2) Banishing ritual of the pentagram which includes lesser banishing ritual and greater banishing ritual. (3) is what we call center pillar rituals.....perhaps if one has ever entered any of the mansionic temple, he will quickly observe the pillars and the third pillar which is always invisible.....Now, what are the importance of these rituals ,and what is it exactly? Off course this is the bases of every meditation of every neophyte to master the ritual/the exercise. Lol in the past few years, a student has asked , what's meditation and what's he meditating on. Hello smartn09, I think the poster appears to be more interested in 'spirituality' as opposed to learning about 'magick'. The LBRP will definitely clear her space, I see that you suggested the 'Central Pillar Ritual' which is quite good for raising power if one was seeking to cast, but since the poster is not in a structured order I would counsel against that or even seeking to raise vibrations per se . In my opinion she would be better off with a guided meditation to the Arch-angelic realm in order to deepen her spirituality at this time.

Unless you are aspiring to sainthood, developing one’s spirituality does not require a life of asceticism, one does not need deny oneself the pleasures of life nor should one simply treat spirituality as an escapist form of getting away from the grim realities of life. You need to make space in your mind for your spiritual practice during which you shut out all other outwardly influence and you would need to dedicate a (preferably fixed) time at intervals that suits you for the practical aspects e.g, Meditation, Prayer and study.

But then once you have completed your practice for the day/week then you put it aside and get on with your normal routine. It is in fact your normal routine that will keep you grounded.

In this respect, guided meditation, visualization exercise incorporating pentagrams is very necessary, l agree with you. However, for one who has mastered visualization and mediation, and therefore wish to vibration at high level to enable him envision his inner path and discover the essence of his being thereby having access to the angelic realm. The fact is ,the essence of Central pillar ritual wasn't to raise power alone as there are other underlying factors behind it. In all, would it be necessary, we can elaborate fully on this lbrp for their better comprehension ,since its the basic for other developmental exercises.

what gave you the idea that the Person has "mastered vizualization and meditation" whereas the person clearly indicates being a beginner?

To suggest the middle pillar here is irresponsible and possibly harmful in my opinion.

hello, let me congratulate you for your character. I believe you have the needed warrior approach to thread this path.

Sarassin has said it all. I will just emphasize on 2 things which to me are fundamental. The cleansing aspect with the LBRP which sarassin indicated. Don't joke with it,else you may expose yourself to much misadventure. See malign elementals are attracted to meditating individual just as flies are attracted to a burning candle. I have had a number of negative experiences to learn this.

Then proper meditation and most important stilling the mind. When you stop the flow of thought, so called "drunken ass", you have access yo the real you, the you beyond the camouflage of your programmed personality, the avatar holding the command. To me there is no real spirituality until this is achieved.
