Don't even know how to start explaining how wrong and Spoilt my laptop is now... It has a lot on it.. And am beginning to think that it actually has a biological virus in it
Re: Have a Laptop/desktop/printer problem?? Bring Am Come Here by romoruyi(m): 7:29pm On Sep 20, 2017
Lolzz....you r funny; a biological virus is impossible. The only issue that renders a laptop absolutely dead or spoilt is a serious hardware issue on the motherboard. But thanks to tech now, it can changed.

If your system has not be reformatted for a longtime with no antivirus or lil skills on virus protection then ur system would have a lot of bugs mostly if its connected to the internet.

Browsing thru websites with ads and cookies can cause complete system vulnerability and sluggishness.

So what is actually wrong with yours?

Send me a message on whatsapp.

But please know this, if the damage on your HDD is severe, data recovery might be impossible.

Data recovery by HDD dismantling is not always 100% guaranteed.

I keep on having problem connecting my HP LaserJet 1200 series printer to the system. At times it will print n at times the laptops won't detect it. I have tried it with 2 other laptops n the situation remain the same .

The printer is now my boss and it dictate when it want to be detected by other systems and when to be on ghost mode.
Re: Have a Laptop/desktop/printer problem?? Bring Am Come Here by romoruyi(m): 8:21am On Sep 22, 2017
Morning bro; there are several issues that go be wrong with printer not being recognised by your computer.

1. You should check whether the drivers are correctly installed and compatible with your operating system. Goto >> Control Panel >> Devices & Printers; to see whether your printer is installed. You will see an icon of your printer model, if the drivers are installed correctly.

2. Second step is to see whether your computer detects the printer when plugged via a USB cable. If plugged and the computer detects it then the icon changes its brightness. That indicates that your computer sees it. But if not, then its either

2a. Your USB Cable is faulty or there is a driver installation conflict. Try using a different cable or doing a drivers roll-back
And installing it again via Control Panel >> Device Manager.

3. Check for driver updates for your printer on the internet for your OS.

Thank you Sir. Though I have done some of these but I think I was misled along the line by the person that said I don't to download the driver again since I'm using window7.

I will try to download the driver and the printer is not listed on the list of HP printers on my system.

I am having issues with windows 10 update sucking up my data; unlike window 7 which has turn off automatic update, how can i stop windows 10 from sucking up my data?
Re: Have a Laptop/desktop/printer problem?? Bring Am Come Here by romoruyi(m): 4:50pm On Sep 22, 2017
Okay....

Actually in windows 10, there is no way of turning off automatic update but you can actually reduce the rate at which your system consumes data.

The only way to achieve this is flagging any WiFi you r connected to as metered connection. Follow these steps to set your WiFi connection as metered on windows 10.

1. First off, make sure your system is connected to a WiFi

2. Goto start menu and click on settings icon

3. In the settings windows, click on "Network & Internet" tile

4. In the Network & internet windows, it will show the WiFi network you connected to; leave that and click on "Advanced Options"

5. in the advance option windows; under the metered connection, turn off "set as metered connection"

This should help reduced the amount of data that is consumed by your system but NOTE: Windows 10 might still update but will let you know when its about to do that. i hope this works for you.

The browsing aspect of it has no problem... Am not a tech guy so am not conversant with most of the terms... But the stuff sort of hangs a lot.. Reboots itself a lot and a bit sluggish... The latest now is that it does not have a steady screen..
Re: Have a Laptop/desktop/printer problem?? Bring Am Come Here by romoruyi(m): 6:26am On Sep 24, 2017
Good morning bro.

From what you have explained; I presume that your system might be having this problems;

1. If it flashes a blue screen with some writtens on it before it restarts then you have a failing RAM.

2. If the system freezes while it boots to desktop environment or while the system is just running. Then part of your Harddisk is failing too.

3. Or it might just be a virus, eating up your ram and processor speed. To confirm this; just add in processor and gadgets widgets if its windows 7.

And then, you shud see your processor and ram meter reading very high though your system is not in use.

Secondly, is to hold down ALT + CTRL +DEL
And it will bring Task manager. Under task manager windows, check for the files that is causing this and shut it down.

NOTE: All these are just assumptions based on what you have explained. I will need to see your system physically to disgnose it to know whats wrong. Contact me on whatsapp/call: 08132838328

PC Tips: Mircosoft security essential is yet another great tool for malware and virus protection. It uses a small portion of your CPU and Ram which make your system efficient while performing its task.

Update your systems today with it: windows vista, 7

Windows 8, 8.1 & 10 original comes with it as windows defender which means you do not need an antivirus on those Operating System.

Have a great day!

Computer Tips of Day: God mode

Windows hidden "god mode" folder Windows offers a centralized Control Panel for all of the OS settings, which makes it easy for users to tweak everything from desktop background to setting up a VPN. To enter this mode, create a new folder with this exact name (copy and paste it): God Mode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}. The folder icon will change to a Control Panel-style icon, and you will be able to jump in and change all kinds of settings. Note: Don't try this on Windows Vista 64-bit as it's known to cause a reboot loop.

Tips for the Day: Romove Autorun.inf or shortcut viruses from your flash drive without an antivirus. Follow the steps below;

1. Go to Run –> cmd. This should open the command prompt.

2. Type g: where g is the USB drive letter.

3. Now run the following command: attrib -h -r -s -a *.*. This will remove the attributes hidden, archive, system from all the files.

4. Type del autorun.inf. This will delete the autorun.inf file.

Good morning guys,
I need a replacement screen for my Lenovo Ideapad 100 15IBY, well not just the screen, the entire top half.
The laptop fell and now the screen has parallel lines on it, the screen plastic case is cracked and the hinge is damaged.

PC Tip for the day:

Bring back a closed tab We have dedicated a section to web browsing further down below, but this one is too useful to be missed. Accidentally closed a tab? Simply press Ctrl + Shift + T to reopen the most recently closed tab and get back to what you were doing (Cmd + Shift + T on Macs).
Re: Have a Laptop/desktop/printer problem?? Bring Am Come Here by romoruyi(m): 3:48pm On Oct 13, 2017
tip of the day: Find/delete large files wasting space A handy tool called Space Sniffer can be used to easily find which files and folders are taking up the most space on your drive. From there, you can delete them and open up a ton of storage space. Other Windows alternatives (free) include WinDirStat and TreeSize. On macOS you can use Finder or Siri to find large files with no third party app, but we like to use GrandPerspective.

Whenever I connect my powerpack to my laptop, all devices connected via USB ports stop working (except modem). Even the trackpad does not work smoothly again.

But immediately I disconnect the power pack, they start working again. What could be the problem and how do I solve it?
Re: Have a Laptop/desktop/printer problem?? Bring Am Come Here by romoruyi(m): 5:46am On Oct 14, 2017
Is it the original powerpack that came with the laptop? I need answer on this...

If you have changed the powerpack, it might be the one you are using now is fake and not delivering the right voltage to your PC. You have to stop using it as it might damage IC components on your motherboard.
