Anytime I play certain wolf howling recordings, my dog whines and howls along. Sometimes, he howls as long as the wolf Is howling in the recording and even bark. Why does this happen? I tried googling, no result.  Does yours do this? |

adisabarber:I do not think they are cousins. The first dogs where bred from the Grey Wolf. They are more like descendants.. With breeding programs over the years, most dogs(90%), have lost the wolf thing. They are just dogs. Some breeds do not even howl |

Greene66:If you have up to five dogs, they will howl once in a while. Most people only have 1 or 2 dogs nowadays so the dogs don't need to howl unless a dog outside howls. |
