There will always be monthly allocations but the idea is for it to become largely irrelevant as it has become to Lagos.
If for 50 years the governors didn't try to be dependent how do you think they will change suddenly? You are not being realistic. What makes you think they will just adopt the Lagos model like that?

Do you realize that some northern state is not up to local government in the South West?
#LOL

You are one of those guys that don't travel and believe in fables.

Just give me one example.

hmmm, Nigeria was designed to favour those northern parasites & that's the reason behind my moniker. How much do they contribute to Nigeria economy & how much do they receive in return?
If South West happens to stand alone today, it will be turned to better of what we have today in the next 10years. forget about Obasanjo, Tinubu factors that can hinder our progress because its either they cooperate or they become past.
Again a fable. A few years ago, for some reason foodstuff from the North stopped coming to the South and immediately, food prices skyrocketed. This point alone punctures your argument.

Hungry people will not bother about infrastructure. Food is essential for survival.

Please explain this part. How has the leadership of SE sought to extend conflict? I can't seem to understand that part.
Do you know how irritating and provocative the Nnamdi Kanu charade was?

The Southeast leaders by waiting for too long before acting are as guilty by omission of the things Nnamdi Kanu is by commission.

Good question. There are emerging young leaders that are more strategic working towards engineering reform in governance.

We just need to get rabble-rousers out of the political space.

I hope you apply same logic to the quite northern muslims who kept mum for years when BH started bombing churches.
To me the SE leaders are not different from the northern leaders.

We want full autonomy for The 36 States like the American system.

I strongly suggest we get the rable rousing leaders out faster with restructuring.

mention that year plz. most of the purported foodstuff coming from the north is a big lie because its from Niger Republic. above all, money from sold food items goes directly to the farmer, & middle men unlike crude oil money that goes to FG coffers

It is now comparing 2 states, not comparing state in North with a Local Government in the South.

Impossible, they will seek to gain more relevance. Get them out of the way first, then allow rational people restructure.

Go and reduce it now Mallam. If you don't reduce it then, you are a coward.
maclatunji:
Having seen how the people and leaders of the Southeast have failed to provide progressive leadership for themselves and sought to extend conflict to other regions of the country.

We demand that the number of states in the Southeast be reduced to 2.

Afterall, Cross River State is approximately half the size of the Southeast states put together and the good people of this state have not caused trouble in Nigeria.

Merge the states of the Southeast into 2 and they too will probably learn to count their blessings rather than cause trouble with mischief.

Yes, other regions of Nigeria have problems but none has sought to drag the country into total anarchy for the most part with hate speech in particular and false news spread eagerly to ensure division and ultimately war.

Wrong how? Are you telling me if oil hits $35pb for the next 5 years more states like Kebbi won't spring up faster? It will work.

Ha ha ha . . . Did you see the thread about Tinubu supporting restructuring? Even the Tinubus of this world you suggested we wait for to get to power are supporting restructuring. What does that tell you Sir?

i wonder how nonentity like will be allowed to post on a public forum like nairaland...only Abia state which has same LGA's (17) as cross river state has more population and landmass than cross river. .cross river have dispersed towns and villages than Abia which means that traveling from calabar to obudu will take almost 8 hours ..sense fall on your empty skull
