The only clarification I need is, " Will TStv guarantee QUALITY PICTURE?"

Are you saying that TSTV cannot make deals to include stations like Kwese TV, Supersports or even Sky Sports (that have a right to live EPL matches) in their packages? There must be, or should be, terms and conditions that allow that.
Supersports is owned by multichoice, and multichoice owns DSTV. So, they may be able to make deals with others but multichoice will not give them access to Supersports.

They claim they are going to include a whole lot of HD channels including bein sports HD 1 to 10, so naturally, pictorial quality shouldn't be a problem.

But like i have told some people, don't get your hopes up, be ready to be disappointed.

I hope they do so. A satellite TV without the complete football package is like visiting Paris without seeing the Eiffel Tower.

please is the bein sport 1 to 10 in English language or in Arabic ?

Some are in English while some are in Arabic. But the Arabic covers more. Me as long as I dey see ALL THE football in almost all the better leagues watch, I can overlook the Arabic and concentrate more on the match :d

Someone on this thread claims he is already using it, but maybe because it hasn't been made public yet, he doesn't seem to want to talk about it. But here is a picture he posted from the earlier match between Westham Vs. Spurs. It shows the match being watched on bein sports 2 HD

Yeah. But initial, they said they would include complementary 20gb, not 10gb. I'm surprised that they have not even launched yet they have already started backtracking on their promises.

Think they were misquoted.
When I chatted with them, the agent told me the decoder has 20GB data capacity for the month, 10Gb will be given freely with the 3k sub while the rest can be bought at 300naira per GB.

So the 20Gb gist was just being carried out of misunderstanding. The 20Gb is still there, but not entirely free as several thought.

DSTV finally got a worthy rival. Sounds too good to be true.

Don't think so, some things are nt just right. Don't think it will be commercially viable for a real DSTV competitor to be that ridiculously cheap. Premiership broadcast right don't come cheap likewise other premium content on DSTV. Its like somebody promising u a car brand with all d luxuries and goodies in a BMW 7 Series at a price of KIA Picanto. We shouldn't forget so soon the jokers called HITV.

But how I wish it was possible..

TSTV HAS CNN!

I will say it again in case you are deaf!

TSTV HAS CNN!!! Should I repeat myself?

Check for yourself here: www.tstvafrica.com/channels.php Its on their "channel 250"

Must you ignorant folks use lies to confuse people? Jeez!

I don't wish to be insulted. I have only ask a question and a genuine one for that matter. I went through the list, and I didn't see CNN and but some said it's Channel 120 and on the list.
Please learn to respond to people's request in social media without insult. I am not deaf.

they operate on a different platform, multichoice only have rights over satelitte channel not telecom broadcast, the technology that will be used by Tstv according to some is hbb, which hybrid or fusion of satelitte and telcom to view television, I believe channels like bein sports that will broadcast the football leagues will be on the telecom site as such dstv has no right over them

Can people like you just shut up if you are not informed enough? Jeez! Ignorance at its peak!

You said: "Don't think it will be commercially viable for a real DSTV competitor to be that ridiculously cheap. Premiership broadcast right don't come cheap..."

I laugh at your ignorance! You think because DSTV are milking Nigerians dry you feel it okay for pay TV to be expensive right? Can you remember how MTN way back were stealing from Nigerians? There was no per second call billing, you call for 5 seconds and you are charged for 1 minute, if you recharge 1K you must use the airtime within a week or else the credit floats, and SIM cards were sold for 25K, etc, what happened when other networks came? Competition changed everything, what is happening now?

Now let me enlighten your parochial mind, premiership broadcast is not expensive! Over here in the south south part of Nigeria, we have been enjoying premiership coverage on BeIn sports for over 3 years now, we watch it on CTL pay TV platform and it cost just N3150 monthly for the full bouquet of all channels.
TSTV has all of the BeIn sports channels meaning you can watch ANY match in ANY league in the world.

In sub sahara Africa, SuperSport, Kwese Sports and Canal+ have the rights to show the EPL and TSTV also has Kwese Sports and Canal+ channels. You can Google about the channels that have EPL rights, it's not only SuperSport.

You all thought watching EPL is expensive because greedy DSTV were milking us dry and that era is over!

Dude, just hold it there! You went through which list? You weren't asking any question! You wrote an epistle about how CNN is important here in Nigeria and how TSTV is not smart enough not to include CNN among their channels.

You talk about immaturity, how about you who didn't confirm a fact (CNN) and went on talking crap, is that maturity? Maturity is talking about things you have competent information about! Next time confirm things before you spit out gibberish!

Also, learn how to comment on the internet, before you state stuff, make sure you have valid information about it.

And in case you are still slow to hear, I will tell you again: TSTV HAS CNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are welcome!

Guys don't be surprised the tstv will definitely launch but to be honest with you there will be a catch

1) most of the stations on TSTV full package of 3,000 are already on startimes bouquet of 3,800 excluding the bein hd sports and kwese sports

2) the only problem they will face is competing with dstv based on sport channels because it won't be an easy one if they claim to show the EPL and La Liga live matches and dstv will 'siddon' dey look them

Even when TSTV will air the matches, the 3,000 subscription might not be enough to watch it all through the month .(there must be a clause somewhere)

3) TSTV wants to get her own share of the Nigerian market, soon they will come up with excuses. We shall pray that they can overcome that dat dstv monopoly

4) I stayed in kano during my Nysc days, and they don't care about dstv there, most hotels and bars show live matches via bein sport HD and when I asked them they said they were paying just 3,000 or so if I can recall

Can you imagine

So the only difference I can see in TSTV is the sport channels and picture quality, star times already have most of these entertainment channels excluding d bein sports

I watch live serie A matches, bundesliga, French ligue matches, like say na water on star times, and apart from that there 3,800 package is more entertaining that gotv

Right now I still subscribe to gotv as well, just because of my fiancee that likes telemundo, and zee world etc.

Dstv shot itself in the foot when they started increasing the price of packages anyhow, and when they turned gotv to crap.

We will keep our hands cross and test run the TSTV, but I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were u
