Exactly what I was trying to point out, that the Kurdistan and Iraqi central government also drag it out in a civil war between 2006-2008. It took US intervention to end it in 2008. Thereafter, the Iraqi allow decentralization of power. So ours is not unique, except it drag on for far too long.

Think how Rhodesia tried to destabilize Mozambique the minute that country became independent of Portugal in 1975. Rhodesia simply created RENAMO to make Mozambique ungovernable. If Turkey isn't reassured then I see it deploying a similar tactic.

if the leaders of Igbo land can agree to referendum, there is nothing anybody can do about it. ipob is not a legitimate representative of Igbo people. nobody voted for them. they should have tried to convince the leaders or form a political party and vote in people who are sympathetic to their course. not calling for war through hate speeches. secession is not what you achieve in a day. its a long term process. read about this Kurds referendum or Catalonia and Scottish referendum. KANU thought he would just ask for secession on radio and it would be given to him just like that without doing the necessary groundworks.

that's probably because corruption is not their fundamental problem...that's y things work in the western world...in Nigeria, our case is different even if Nigeria were to be restructured along regional lines I bet you, our problems will still remain. because corruption is deep rooted inside the average nigerians skin. there would still be sectionalism even within the same region

How is that a news? All media organization have bias towards people or countries that matters. Aljazeera always portray Qataris as perfect people. BBC is biased towards Europe, especially United Kingdom. CNN towards any America leaders that will foster the Jewish interest. Channels Television leans towards the APC lead government.

we are saying the same thing. the current Representatives won't move a motion for referendum. so voting people who would do their bidding is the smartest move. civil disobedience won't work as you can't get 100% compliance since their are many Igbo's who are for one Nigeria or are benefiting from the current arrangement.
