It is those restrictions that makes it a better platform. Stable, responsive, doesn't crash, hardly gets infected with virus and malware and support instant software upgrade.

Most restrictions on ios is a way of grabbing more cash and forcing people to use more apple products.
Like forcing people to itunes just to play music on their phones or needing macbook just to move files.
It has nothing to do with responsiveness, virus or what have you.
Once you jailbreak ios, you still get the same responsiveness and all that restrictions removed.

And its those restrictions that keep many people away from them.

Windows os especially os8 ws a powerful and quiet nice to use alot of people actually moved to it to try it out. Its active liquid like display is 2nd to none. However it wasn't able to retain its customers due to many reasons.

1. Os wasn't flexible enough.
2. Poor and tacky apps
3 poor internet browser
3. Neva shud hv switched d name from nokia to Microsoft
4 quality design
5. No special advantage to other fones rivals

I don't see how my cash is being grabbed or being forced to use more than one apple product.

I don't need iTunes to play music neither do I use MacBook to move files.

The reliability you get in Apple products is top notch.
