Please help a ftm, Ave nobody but myself, dh and this thread. Is this nappy rash? I use Huggies(red), coconut oil all over her bum and body. She's just 14 days old and this came out three days ago. Should I apply sudocream, change her diaper brand or stop applying coconut oil.

please change that diaper asap...l learnt on this thread that Nigeria Huggies which is d red one I presume gives rashes...The UK Huggies is better but its on the high side..U can try pampers premium, asda little angles, fibronsi(benignasweety pls give me the right spelling)

for the rash, u can use sudocream but try and mix it with a little coconut oil so it won't react to your baby's skin...U should try as much as possible to air her bum..you can just spread a nylon/water proof beneath her bum where she's lying down..

coconut oil is good.

It could be a reaction from the wipes or diapers or a yeast infection. I had the same experience with my baby. What I did was to apply baby tribotan for like 3 days, then stopped and started using only coconut oil for him. You can apply sudocreme after using tribotan.
If you want to use skineal or funbact A, mix it with Sheabutter. It's not from the coconut oil.
I only use coconut oil for my baby's bum.

Some women swear that using breast milk to wash the area can clear it up within 3 days

Mama!!! Calm down....this is not our work place ooo and we dont wine and dine on nairaland. So be always patient when you post an issue.

Back to your question, Change the diaper you are using because some mama have testified here that huggies cause rashes. You can buy Nigeria Pampers because i thing it work well for me oooo. Also, i use A+D rash cream whether baby has or not and i have never experienced any form of rashes on my baby bum. It is well

You posted the first question at 12.36
The second at 12.40
And then this one at 12.59!

And you're saying no one wants to help you
Today is Friday! Moat mama's are at work!
Some take precious time out to answer questions over and over again

You need to apply patience here otherwise you won't get what you're looking for!

@ dunasy, dis na real step by step procedure. grin .I have started gradually , though most times , between waking up severally to feed my 1yo and really grooving my sleep after d day's stress ( i dont sleep light and I have no help at home) , i have nt been steadfast at it embarassed.
.
Thanks for d response & encouragement. We will get there

That's a lot of mothering work ehhh....you can take him to pee when you wake to feed younger baby then....

..grooving sleep ehn and that's the time sleep is always sweet but, what can we do.

DH isn't a light sleeper so I have to wake DS to carry to pee but occasionally if he wakes then ,he helps but, sometimes when I can't feel my legs....I wake him to help as na only two 'both' of us and our pikin.

welcome back where went tho. Hope uve updated your diary. This is why you shouldn't prescribe, visita plus bleached my baby's back, it took a while to recover from that. It cleared the rashes in one night tho. I'd rather advertise baby tribotan, it's better suited for baby's delicate skin and it clears rashes fast too

I have not updated my diary....
Visita plus never had any effect on zino,I used it just one time(night time after bathe)and the rashes disappeared.
