I don't know but I feel this is a part of China that have not seen much of black people in flesh.
You probably won't get this in regular places like Shangai, Hong Kong Guangzhou etc

Happens to other races in Africa too.

I've seen the same happen to a small white girl. She was mobbed by a gang of tens of kids on the street who came across her while on their play pushing around tyres, etc. They were curiously touching the kid and saying things like - "a doll!" Her mom had to rescue her when she started crying grin
