I must tell you that the wait made me grow in faith, patience and endurance. It wasn’t easy, but HIS words kept, I learnt to believe in HIM who quickeneth the dead and calleth forth those things that be not as though they were.
For the TRV hopefuls and those delayed I leave you with this: “Whosoever believeth on HIM shall not be put to shame”.

I've been a silent reader for awhile now. Found out about this thread after I submitted my application on Aug 31th. I'll say reading peoples profile (most who were delayed/denied and few approved) while comparing it to mine, in all honest I feel I stand no chance. That's just a feeling and no matter how much I try to let it go and remain confident, I can't help it. Although people close to me are very confident and I wish I could say the same too. But anyway, I will keep believing in God because from my observations it seems getting an approval is only by his grace.

May God do it for the rest of we hopefuls!!!

why not go for MA in history & int'l studies, VO's might be assuming history alone isn't in line with ur UG course, & how convincing was ur SOP?

Sorry about the outcome of your application.

Pls kindly provide us with your full profile most especially the recent application.

And if I may know, did you order for your gcms notes for the 1st application?

Lastly, do you still believe you can put up a better application with an improved positive attitude towards it?

As per the ordering for the gcms notes, try to use the recommended site as instructed by the Admin on page 0 of this thread.

All will be fine!!

Thanks. I would have but cant find a course for Masters in dat. The only one i cciuld go into is History "canadian history" which is a form of intl studies.

I tried my bst in putting up my SOP n telling them my specialisation n d reason why canada was chosen.

At the bold words above, I thought as much but that doesn't mean it's compulsory to order but it's very necessary.
Try to Order for the gcms notes for you to be guided as per what the Officer saw in your application that could cause the delay.

Since you said you will be working on other refusal reasons, then the 'purpose of visit' reason will be tackled with your detailed SOP.
The Officer wants to know why you choose Canada. Why incurring such amount in Canada, why not your country. You must try to answer it in a more convincing way but not desperate.

Try to break the report into piece and tackle them in a more matured convincing manner.

Thank God your 'purpose of visit' is better than the conventional (academic progression) where the applicant will start looking for new admission or new school.

All the very best sir!!
