I should be asking you that question. Does the fact that yorubas received western civilization before others mean that yorubas brought education to Nigerians?
You have not even made a point let alone leaving an argument.
Who says Yoruba brought education to Nigeria? No dey misquote me abeg. I said others benefited from the early western education in Yoruba land.
Go and read your books jare.

In the world there are 3 powers. These powers God distributed them evenly, that is the way I see it as applied in the Nigerian setting.
I also observed that any attempt to deny a part of its power is being resisted by the region in question.
POLITICAL POWER=NORTH
ACADEMIC POWER=WEST
ECONOMIC POWER=EAST

Please lets hear yours, this is just my observation.

Na lie
Economic power is still west.

It is not evenly distributed rara. lol . If not for retrogressive anti progressive leadership that has plagued Nigeria since independence- the Yorubas should have been the ones leading Nigeria politically from the onset, with the Igbos playing a close supporting role.

Didn't you see Kwara there?

Kwara is not in the North, the military just made their own map to favour the North.

Those names are from what tribe? Yoruba obviously

Leave unverifiable things that happened in 1822.

Presently IMO state has the highest number of professors in nigeria.

It has always been the igbos from day one.
Envy won't change that.

When this your submission is investigated and proven to be false, you will eventually tuck your tail between your legs like a petrified dog and bow out.

On it boss! The guy is a liar, the source of the hare brain assertion is on nairaland by opinion of an op, based on statistics of 2010 unverified by any one. It is creation of alternate facts by flatinoes. Yoruba remains the one with highest numbers of professors at home and in diaspora.

Does the fact that these schools were first established in yorubaland mean it yoruba land proffered western education to others? It's just like stating that Nigerians that were educated in the East received education courtesy of the East.

They benefitted from schools established by the white men regardless of geographical location period!

Throwback:
Can some people ever catch up to greatness?

Omoluabi no be anybody school mate.

Above is the very first professor of anything in Nigeria. A medical doctor by profession.

He was the most senior African on the academic board of University of Ibadan. When it was time for the British to hand over UI to Nigerians, the Igbo dominated NCNC ensured an Igbo Professor Kenneth Dike who was away on sabbatical in the USA was called back to become the vice-principal ahead of his senior Prof Ajose who was more qualified, physically present and interested in the position.

When it was time to also name the Principal, Kenneth Dike was equally chosen ahead of Prof Ajose

It is noteworthy that Dr Akanu Ibiam who was also Igbo, was the Chairman of the University Council.

Prof Kenneth Dike would go ahead to recruit Nigerians into UI, but out of the 108 newly hired, only 3 were Yorubas, and the remaining 108 were from Dike's and Akanu Ibiam's Eastern region.

Prof Ajose resigned and moved to the new Western region established OAU to become its pioneer VC, since the federal government posts was only merited by the Igbos who had partnered with the educationally disadvantaged North. Yet this same Igbos till today continue to bemoan the Northernization policy of Ahmadu Bello, who was Northern Premier. As far as they were concerned, they secured their own Eastern region for Easterners only, they dominated the Federal positions, and the North should have also been made open to their greed.

So when you hear some people wailing about marginalization, they are only longing for a return to an era when merit is to appoint Igbo.
God bless you my brother

I guess if western education had been rejected in the SW just as they were rejected up north, you would have been mocking and saying silly things about SW.
Do you think education could be forced on the Yorubas if they had rejected it ?
Yorubas accepted them, sheltered them, gave them their lands to build schools. That's the spirit of the yorubas..

Enough of your silly talks abeg.
