I will not say sardauna was too naive but I will say he underestimated the treachery, backstabbing of the people that killed him..the same people he was their benefactor |

ProWalker:Definitely, the sardunna wasn't naive. He knew the sort of people he was dealing with hence the moment we got independence, he checkmated their covetous propensity and ambition with his Northernisation Policy in 1964 which was the MAIN reason why nzeogwe had to kill him. The Sardunna wanted the North for the Northerners..............................but the perennial landgrabbers wanted One Nigeria. |

T9ksy:You guys are actually failing the great Sardunna .. He wanted Northern Independence.. It was the British that wanted One Nigeria..... They were they strong hand behind that coup and civil war. North are still suffering from "One Nigeria " burden... They sacrifice everything for one Nigeria yet they are poorest region. |

abdelrahman:It was the British .. There were the people still running Nigeria after Independence..... Kaduna Nzogwu was not doing it for the Igbos... He was doing it for British One Nigeria... Ahmadu Bello was a wise man.. he wanted to break out from Nigeria... which was the Best But the Britain refused.. it was beyond the Igbo capacity.. Muritala declared "Araba" .. After the second coup... the British refused.. Wen Ojukwu declare separation the British refused... After all said... we all in Nigeria are all British slave... in a big British slave camp. |

ProWalker:Doubting Thomas, these are a few collections I have from that time. I do not want to type a lengthy massage here for you as I believe that picture with the caption is self explanatory. That's why it's important that you know your history. There has been lies about a certain bread label celebrating the murder of Sardauna but nobody thought it fit to oreserve a copy of said bread label but here I have an evidence showing celebration of the coup in the SW, preserved for the day of reckoning. Save a copy if you wish because I'd be deleting it soon. |

Kazim88:The Sardunna only wanted northern independence simply 'cause he was scared of his region being dominated by the more educated southerners. The 1st graduate from the north was in1953. This was why he made that statement, "North for northerners, East for easterners, West for westerners and we all meet at the center" Awo, on his part dubbed "Nigeria" as "just a geographical expression............." whilst Zik, the "Fake" Pan-Africanist" was the one that was singing the discordant tune of One Nigeria. As per north sacrificing everything for One Nigeria, that's a BIG lie. In actual fact, the north has been the sole beneficiary of One Nigeria. The main rationale behind the Brits' Amalgamation of the country in 1914 was just so that, the rich and resourceful South can support the barren and poor North. |

They were literally bed mates back then lol . The North had power, so they rewarded potor with appointments while Yorubas played opposition. I think the beef started when they let all that get into their heads. Then they started making careless statements. Sadly, they still haven't learned Then after that period, Nzeogwu coup~~~Pogrom~~~Seccession attempt~~~Civil war The rest, as they say, is history Random: Based on what I've read, I'd say Nzeogwu had good intentions. He just did it the wrong way Secondly, if I were potor, I'd hate Nigeria too lol. Awo really dealt with these folks mahn ![]() |
