DoctorAlien:Oga, let us assume that everyone killed in Vegas shooting were all atheists and unbelievers. What of the incidence at a church in uyo where the church building collapsed and more than 32 Christians were crushed to death? Should we say that the beams of that church carefully chose it's victims and fell on the sinners among them? What of the building collapse of Psr TB Joshua where more than 80 Christians lost their lives? What of the Boko haram bomb blast at madala, Niger State where over 20 lives were lost? Let's still asume those guys were not Christians. What of the incidence at Adamawa dealer life where boko haram attached members if a church at a night vigil and killed them all? Do you need more examples to know that your claim is flawed? If after Jesus death, the devil is still killing Christians like point and kill fish pepersoip, then something is wrong somewhere. |

MaziOmenuko:But Jesus did not promise us that we would no longer die in this world. You've shown that you lack even basic knowledge of the Bible. Jesus Himself told us that we would be persecuted, and even killed in this world. Jesus died so we can live forever IN THE WORLD TO COME, NOT IN THIS WICKED WORLD. Even though we die, when Jesus comes back, we would live again. |

Where was God?? That's laughable! Do you think anything happens without God not knowing to it. Well, simple answer when you seek God, you shall find him. Read Jeremiah 33:3. |

DoctorAlien:Oga Alien, did Jesus say that whoever believes in him shall not die but have everlasting life? Did he proclaim after his death that all powers has been given unto him in heaven and in earth? Did he promise his followers that they shall trample upon serpents and scorpions and shall not be harmed? With your knowledge of basic bible, did Jesus promise his followers all that I said or am I quoting the quoran? I get it, you have already bought the school of thought that Christians can die like all unbelievers which is okk by me. Your fellow Christian, asuustrike2009 doesn't believe it as he believes that anyone that dies has sin in him ad not a true Christian. That's the reason for all my response so far. You Christians are not even coherent about your beliefs and stands. |

asuustrike2009:Meanwhile b4 I go, the bolded is soo wrong. You need to read Isaiah 45:7 very well. Let me paste it here for you. I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things. If an agnostic like me is teaching you your Bible and correcting your errors, then you need to humble yourself and seek more knowledge on things you don't know of. |

Originalkalokalo: :THANK GOD you are not God o. The God Almighty whom I know doesn't have human emotions of anger, hatred which Yahweh, Allah and all these small small gods like them have. If God ALMIGHTY, the creator of Yahweh, was an angry one, he/it would have destroyed Yahweh long ago, but God is not so. You'd better rephrase your speech and say, if you were Yahweh, you would have killed people anyhow like Yahweh your mentor who had no tolerance in the Neanderthal era. |

MaziOmenuko:These are the verses, I believe, you're talking about: "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" John 11:25-26 Notice that Jesus said to Martha that if anybody believes(not believed) in Him, though the person were dead, he shall live yet. Therefore, Jesus is saying that though a person were dead, if the person BELIEVES (present tense) in Him, the person shall yet live. The fact that the Jesus used the word "believes" is very important because it cancels the idea that Jesus could be talking about those who believed in Him before they died, and not those who are yet to believe in Him. If Jesus was talking about those believed in Him before they died, the sentence would have been "he that believed in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live..." That raises the question: can a dead man believe in Jesus? The only way that could make sense is if what Jesus really sees as death is not physical death we know. And that is really the case! To Jesus, the physical death we know is but a sleep, aND someone can be awakeNed out of it. That was why He told His disciples that their friend Lazarus was was asleep. All through the Bible, death is represented as sleep. (see also Daniel 12:2) What then does Jesus see as really death? The destruction/annihilation that awaits those would choose not to believe in Him. This is also called the second death (Revelation 21: . (This is also why Jesus made the statement "leave the dead to bury their dead", the dead here being those who would eventually encounter the second death because they had decided not to follow Jesus.) This second death is never likened to sleep in the Bible, and anyone who experiences it can never be recovered from it. To Jesus, this is really death, and anyone who is going to experience it is dead(already)! But if any man moves from not believing in Jesus to believing in Him, the person has moved from being dead to being alive. (see John 11:25 again). You understand this more when you consider Jesus' words in John 5:24 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."Armed with this view which Jesus had of death, it is not hard to see what Jesus meant when He said in John 11:26 that "whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die." Did he proclaim after his death that all powers has been given unto him in heaven and in earth? Did he promise his followers that they shall trample upon serpents and scorpions and shall not be harmed? With your knowledge of basic bible, did Jesus promise his followers all that I said or am I quoting the quoran? I get it, you have already bought the school of thought that Christians can die like all unbelievers which is okk by me.Yes, Jesus said all those and more. However, the same Jesus told us these: "Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake." Matt. 24:9 But even though they kill us, we will live again when Christ returns. Jesus also told us that we would trample upon serpents and scorpions and shall not be harmed. The promise is not a license to us to go in search of serpents and scorpions to step on. Instead it means that in our walk with Him, we would come close to danger and harm, but we will be protected. This promise is having literal fulfillment all over the world in the lives of God’s children. When He decides that work of any of His child is done on earth, God puts that person to rest. God can allow His child die a martyr's death, or to die a peaceful death. But whatever happens, Jesus will raise His children up when He returns. |

Daeylar:God! ![]() What kind of pleasure could I - an imperfect human being - derive from the worship and reverence of butterflies? Yet a perfect God who NEEDS NOTHING and should have no weakness exhibits human frailty worse than humans themselves. The Bible records this strange God enjoying the smell of burning animal flesh and blood. This God is too human - in fact, more human than human - too petty, and so imperfect he's too SMALL for the vast universe. This is a God said to be INFINITELY beyond us and removed from the imperfect human condition. Yet he's JEALOUS that people worship idols that he knows DO NOT EXIST. So, how can they be in competition with him? This is clearly a human character created by humans, not so different from the Greek Gods on Mount Olympus. |
