I have 10 layers giving me 7-8 eggs a day right now, but they are mostly small eggs, as they started laying just two weeks ago. I have been seperating them...the small eggs in one crate, and regular size in another crate. I almost have two crates now, and I want to get ideas from polutry farmers on here on how much they sell their eggs, so as to have an idea how much I can sell mine to retailers over here.

By the way, I live in Ibadan...the poultry capital of Nigeria. . I am thinking of selling the small one for 650 Naira a crate, and the regular size for 700 Naira a crate. What do you guys think?

Y not sell to end users your self,like neighbours and pple living around u,selling in pieces is better for u,u can be selling 2 for #50, to complete this 2 crate will take u more than a week, to avoid ur egg getting spoilt

You may have to retail to provision shops at 25 Naira to avoid them getting spoilt as your layers are too few

One provision lady already agreed to buy a crate and the half from me. I am taking one crate to her right now...i will take the half crate tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks for this breakdown. Let's just say 3 weeks from after collecting it from the chicken pen/cage. Good thing i sold most of mine today. And the woman i sold it to sells a lot...she would probably be done with the crate by tomorrow. The eggs spent less than 7 days with me.
