Okay. what's going on? 2nri dabiko godskidmidas you guys are the only ones i know that's still active on nairaland. You know we are trying to be like you bosses, please, is there any info you can share to us pertaining when our offer letter mails will roll in? This wait is frustrating!

...and so I heard from an insider that there is currently a lot of restructuring going on in EY at the moment. As obtainable in other companies, restructuring could mean/affect a lot of things! (Recruitment plans, resumption date, etc inclusive). Lol... So guys, be calm and get busy with other things. Two things are certain:

1. We will be contacted

2. It shall end in praise

It actually could mean a lot of things, but since EY is a partnership, i'll put it simply, they are Re-strategizing in all aspect. It Probably has to do with "Goals, Operational pattern, Terms, Resource Management, Authority delegation" (Organizational Structure)

The thing is restructuring can be good news or bad news to we hopefuls, They might need more hands than previously planned or they might need lesser (I doubt this in EY's case though their industry already has high labour turnover).

AND IT TAKES TIME!!! hence, my leaving

Just got a mail from EY this afternoon. Told us to 'chill' that the recruitment process is still in play. We hope for the best as the team rounds up the selections.

And EY has successfully used their mail to buy time. Though not the expected mail, but it did allay anxieties by about 20%

Seems everyone has taken the chill pill 200mg after that last EY mail. Lol. ZandraFuller, Olawale92, dameezy, bobbydris et al, coman talk o.

My little analysis

So they recruited about 50-55 trainees in 2015, they recruited in the prior years (2014,2013,2012) and could still accommodate 50-55 in 2015.

2016 There was no recruitment, I'm guessing recession was the cause. they also newly promoted associates to a more senior level. (restructuring) in Oct 2017

With these gaps i'm guessing there should be a 30% increase in expected need. so 65-70 (best case scenario) new Associates should suffice. (Worst case scenario) no change 50-55 new Associates. Chai, goes back to mountain.
