Nigerian Governnent has formally informed the governments of the United States, US, United Kingdom, UK, and other foreign countries of its decision to declare the Nnamdi Kanu-led Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, as a terrorist organisation.

An Abuja Federal High Court in Abuja had, on August 20, proscribed IPOB, following a motion filed by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN).

The court had also ordered that the proscription be published in the Federal Government’s gazette which was done.

Against this backdrop, both the US and UK had faulted the declaration, insisting that the group was not a terrorist organisation.

Speaking with Punch, on Wednesday, Malami said some foreign countries have been duly notified.

Malami disclosed that the Federal Government would be seeking a Mutual Legal Assistance from the foreign governments to stop those funding the group and deal with IPOB members as terrorists.

The report said Federal Ministry of Justice, through its Central Authority Unit, had sent separate letters to all the foreign missions operating in Nigeria.

According to Malami, “Just think of any embassy you know is operating in Nigeria, they have all been served.

“All we did was to send copies of the gazettes attached to the cover letters to notify them of the status of IPOB as far as Nigeria is concerned.

“Although the proscription widely reported in newspapers, has been published in the Federal Government’s gazette and advertised in newspapers as ordered by the court, we had to formalise it by notifying our foreign friends, I mean the foreign governments, which have embassies in Nigeria; and that was exactly what we did by sending copies of the gazette to them.”

I wonder how US/UK will be looking at Buhari, inview of all the atrocities he has already committed in a very short space of time.

Now turning around to point accusing finger and labeling an unarmed group terrorist.

Buhari is not qualified to be Local chairman, not to talk of President of Nigeria.

Nnamdi Kanu messed up the opportunity he had pursuing personal agenda of making himself a demi god than pursuing the Biafra agenda through diplomatic means,even though Biafra is not totally achieved, there should have been restructuring and renegotiated Nigeria based on equality and social and economic justice to the South East.

He's gone into hiding instead of standing his ground as he boasted.
Nothing can reverse that proscription and the terrorist tag on Ipob no matter the pressure from any country because this is our way of preserving our country
from break up.

Who is the Attorney General of Nigeria, let me guess, he is not a qualified Lawyer or learned man.

That is the only explanation for the poor understanding of the legal system both nationally and internationally demonstrated by the Buhari led Government.

Buhari government is desperate to commit a very massive genocide in the SE.

it is so obvious and clear. Everyday, it is always somthing new with Buahri Government and SE, if it is not gunning people down and taking away their body, then it is invading Schools to inject children without telling anybody or asking for permission.

He wants to label IPOB Terrorist so that he can then commit crimes using the Army in a peaceful region where nobody is carrying arms.

6 or 10 years from today, Nigerians will be forced to answer the Igbo question and the continual existence of a Nigeria that includes the Igbos.

Take note of this.

Kanu and IPOB have successfully convinced a good portion of the influential nations that Nigeria is a slave camp designed to enslave the Igbos.

It is left for the Nigerians to disprove IPOB.

Already, the request by Buhari to IMF and others to focus on the North will further prove IPOB right.
