It was indeed a game filled with much suspense as both sides struggled to grab the N25m price worth of the 2017 AITEO CUP.

Honestly. both trams played well but from many statistics Akwa United FC of Uyo had the lead of the game, especially in the 2nd half of the counter.

After 93 mins, including extra time (3mins), Both teams settled scores with Penalties which ended 3 vs 2 in favour of Akwa United FC of Uyo.

AkwaUnited Fc forward Christian Pyagbara, 7 goals in the tournament got the award of AiteoCup Top Scorer.

Also, AkwaUnited Fc goalkeeper Olorunleke Ojo won
AiteoCup Best Goalkeeper Award.

Akwa United FC of Uyo, winners of the 2015 Nigerian FA will now join Enyimba of Ana FC as Nigeria's Representatives at the CAF Confederations Cup, 2017/2018.

Thanks Akwa United for making Us proud....!!! It was a blockbuster encounter but God saw us through!!!

And this is even evident when we compare both teams, For me Akwa United had the better side. Well coordinated passes, set plays, ball possessions and chances, especially in the second half of the encounter.

Any of both sides could have won, but I guess the better side won! Congrats to Niger Tornadoes. You guys played well, I know you were nervous, but the ever conscious AKWA UNITED FC OF UYO, just had to own the day....better luck next time!!
