Throwback:I’m in the sincere hope he understands you. He appears to me to be on a mission to patch a ragged piece of clothing with a new one! What a sorry sight it has all turned out to be! I blame distinguished Ndigbo for not taking down Nnamdi Kanu in good time before he infected SOME Ndigbo with Paranoid Personality Disorder. Pray, how else can one explain the views of no less a distinguished personality as Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife when he posited that the NA Free Medical Service obviously geared towards giving Operation Python Dance a human face should be shunned because according to him it is a bid to inject Ndigbo to death! A telling quote from the late *Dr. Chuba Okadigbo* is aposite here- *"If you are emotionally attached to your tribe, religion or political leaning to the point that truth and justice become secondary considerations, your education is useless. Your exposure is useless. If you cannot reason beyond petty sentiments, you are a liability to mankind."* Evil indeed thrives when the good stands idly by. |

Throwback:What is tragic is that you wrote all this without making any point. Kanu said this, Kanu said that, why are you fixated on what Kanu says with his mouth? This is a democracy, Kanu has freedom of speech and expression. You should be judging Kanu on the actions he took, not the words he said because I can assure you that rarely do people end up in court just for "talking". If anyone feels insulted by what Kanu, they should take Kanu to court for defamation or libel which are not even criminal offences. What the law is far more interested in is the actions of a man, not what he said with his mouth. So if Kanu said that he will destroy Nigeria with a nuclear missle, what matters is if Kanu actually has nuclear weapons aimed at Nigeria If Kanu says that he is looking for weapons to fight Nigeria, what matters is if he actually acquired weapons to fight Nigeria. So this argument that is based only on what Kanu said or didnt say is as stale as last months bread. We want to know what Kanu did, not what he said with his mouth. And if you cannot point at any violent action undertaken by either Kanu or his followers before operation Python dance that doesnt go beyond spoken words, then you need to get your priorities right. You have no argument |

gidgiddy:You clearly do not know that all his statements on YouTube amount to criminal offenses. The right to freedom of expression carries with it responsibility for what is said. What Nnamdi Kanu has said on YouTube constitutes an offense against the criminal statutes of Nigeria. Those who associate with him openly or otherwise are in Law accomplices. What would you do where a person daily parades your premises carrying a can of petrol and a box of matches with threats to burn it down? I’m sure you won’t be waiting for him carry out his threats before neutralizing him. To prevent Nnamdi Kanu from carrying out his threats is why there are offenses known as sedition, treason, levying war on the state e.t.c. Therefore he need not have carried them out before he is put on trial. Nnamdi Kanu appears to be suffering from Paranoid Personality Disorder and constitutes a very present threat to the society. His Lawyer would do well to so plead so the court can have him put away at Yaba Left. |

gidgiddy:As Kanu exercised his freedom of speech, so does the legitimate and democratic government of a sovereign state reserve the right to its territorial integrity and security from aggressors from within and beyond. Nigeria has no regrets or apology for defending its democracy under attack from sworn anti democratic anarchists, nor will any pampering be afforded a monster that wants to hide behind a hypocritical belief in democracy that exist only when he is favoured, but commands genocide when not favoured. When you are President, wait till terror advances from spoken words, active plans and mobilizations, to unleashed anarchy, before you exercise your powers like an ineffectual buffoon. I repeat, let the terrorist come out with their aggression and intimidation, and they will surely be beat down into the ground. |
| Re: Nnamdi Kanu Eventually Seen On the Street In London (pics) by gidgiddy: 10:38am On Oct 17, 2017 |
zoedew:What he said on his radio station is not a criminal offence. It is not possible to commit a criminal offence just by talking alone, it must be backed up by action. Sedition no longer exists in Nigerian law, it has been removed. The only thing Kanu can be tried for in terms of talking is defamation or libel both of which are not criminal matters. It is not possible to levy war or commit treason without taking up arms, it cannot be done by mere talk. As for this so called carrying petrol and matches, where did this happen? The only time we heard about petrol and matches is from the Army. How come nobody ever heard of petrol being used by IPOB until operation Python dance? Even the Army who claimed they were attacked with petrol bombs could not show any picture of the damage caused by such. They also claimed that the found petrol bombs at Kanu's house but nobody has seen any picture of it. If Kanu is making verbal threats, it is not enough to attack his group with live ammunition. If everyone who made a verbal threat in Nigeria was attacked by the Army, we would all be dead. This is democracy not military rule, people are not neutralised in a democracy for making verbal threats, they must be seen as taking 'credible' actions to actualising that threat. The idea of encouraging military attacks on an unarmed group just because they say things we dont like is horrible. |

[s] gidgiddy:[/s] Stop ranting like a cretin. The Rwandan genocide began with what you call freedom of speech on radio which ended up claiming up to a million lives. Had the Rwandan government been pro active enough to nip the hate broadcast in the bud, the war between the hutus and tutsi's would have been avoided. Freedom of speech is not absolute. You can't make a video on YouTube threatening to behead Trump and his family and expect the FBI to treat it as mere freedom of speech since you've not carried out the action. Nnamdi is a terrorist and he has been wiped into oblivion. Live with it |

Throwback:The constitution is there to guide people you from making useless comments like the one above. How does someone threaten your democracy and territorial intergrity by talking alone? Kanu and his followers are allowed to agitate, they are allowed freedom of expression, they are allowed to believe in Biafra, they have the right of self determination and they are allowed freedom of speech. What the law does not allow them is the use of violence to achieve their goal and IPOB has no history of violence before Python dance, so what was the essence of the dance except for the government to stifle the voice of dissent? The constitution does not allow the authorities to act based on "prediction". Just because someone thinks that IPOB might one day take up arms and be violent is not enough reason to attack them with the Army. The authorities have to be sure that IPOB is either armed, or are in the process of being armed. But a situation where the armed force is sent to peaceful area, to attack an unarmed group that has no history of violence just because the authorities think they might one day take up arms is a violation of the constitution of Nigeria and must be condemned. |

whateverkay:Go back and learn history. The Rwnadan genocide did not start because of whst was said on the Radio, it started because the then President of Rwanda, President Habyarimana's plane was shot down and the president died. The minority Tutsis were blamed for it. It was actually the Rwandan Army, composed mainly of ethnic Hutu's, that started the genocide before civilians joined. |

gidgiddy:I reckon the constitution allows Kanu to actively campaign for genocide? To actively source for funds and for weapons? To actively set up security forces when he is not the president nor state governor? To insist that elections and democracy will be terminated in the SouthEast region? Did IPOB members not sack a political campaign and ambushed a governor in church, as a furtherance of this anti-democratic threat? I reckon the constitution also recognises Kanu as the supreme leader of the SouthEast region of Nigeria? Did IPOB itself not show us video evidence of its members attacking an army on a lawful and much publicized military exercise in the SouthEast region? Did IPOB itself not show us a video recorded prior to the lawful military exercise, with Kanu claiming he is in Biafra (Treason), and that any Nigerian army that enters Biafra will not depart alive (Terrorism)? A threat that was carried out with a soldier wounded after terrorist attack by Kanu's IPOB. Or does the lawful army of a sovereign state under command by a democratic president, need the approval of a certain Kanu without any known constitutional power or authority, before they proceed to certain parts of the country? Dude, you are only deceiving yourself with your new found romance with democracy anytime your are thoroughly dealt with by a legitimate democratic government. You are no democrat, rather your are a hypocritical anarchist and terrorist. We will put you down everytime. |

timsTNA:who made it an abomination? Whoever cared spoke about it. But folks with meaningful means of livelihood never bothered themselves with the Biafran nonsense. Kanu only brought a cunning dimension to it, he preyed and cashed in on the minds of gullible, hopeless and jobless folks who needed an activity. and of course some had to pay with their lives for it. |

Throwback:I was referering to how the genocide started. It did not start because of the Radio station but because of President Habyarimana's sudden death. It was the Presidents death that allowed extemists in the Hutu Army to go on killing spree which civilians now joined and resulted in genocide. Had President Habyarimana not died, the Rwandan genocide would have not happend. I dont know who honore is but if he was one of those who directed the Hutus to kill the Tutusi on the Rafio then he should be convicted since the directive was carried out. In Kanu's case, no one has killed anybody for Kanu, infact, the only people being killed in this situation is Kanu's own people. My point is that the radio in Rwanda was not what started the genocide as people often claim |

The pictures published here only suggest that Mr. Kanu spent some time in Amsterdam, at some point in the past. The pictures do NOT prove that Kanu is alive, and if I were a gambling man, my money would be on the inescapable conclusion that Kanu has joined his ancestors, with the assistance of Private Dongoyaro, during the armed siege that trapped him in his father's house. Kanu, who loves press attention, and public adulation, more than the very oxygen he breathes, has NOT issued ONE single public proclamation since the military attack on his father's house. Furthermore, given that Kanu did phone his lawyer from inside his father's house during that attack by soldiers, it is safe to assume that he did NOT escape during that siege, and was therefore subsequently killed before being taken away for secret burial. So, all told, those are interesting pictures that prove absolutely nothing that is factual, in terms of shedding light on the fate that has befallen the man. |

diegwu01:I know engineers, lawyers who keyed into the Biafra goal. These men are neither gullible, hopeless or jobless. As a matter of fact, they are way better schooled and have made something out of their lives more than you Mr Wise. You know why they keyed in, they have felt injustice in workplaces, witch hunted by their bosses, passed up for contracts that were later given to others less competent just because of the fact that they are Igbo. If you haven't experienced such inequality then you have no right to belittle people's intention of subscribing to Biafra |

Jakumo:The pictures on this thread are all old. The one infront of Schipol international aiport was from about 4 years ago when Kanu went to address IPOB members in Amsterdam. Besides, Kanu's British and Nigerian passports are with the authorities as condition for his bail so what would Kanu be traveling with? The fact of the matter is that no one knows what happend to Kanu after the military invasion of his house and it is made worse by the fact that the Army denies having gone to his house on the 14th of October despite videos on youtube showing them doing so |

gidgiddy:Wow ! Wow ! If that is indeed the case, then it is patently obvious that orders were issued from the highest levels of government, that Kanu should cease to exist, and that his body should NEVER be found. Charlie Boy and his fellow travelers had better sit down and think deeply about the fate of Kanu, before embarking on any more anti-government picketing, lest they too join the ranks of "The Disappeared". |

Throwback:No, but the constitution also says that if Kanu is deemed as having said something that is inciting, he should be charged to court which he has already been charged. To actively source for funds and for weapons? It is not against the law to source for money to buy guns. The laws of Nigeria allow adults to own certain types of weapons for hunting and security such as dane guns and pump action as long as they are licensed. To actively set up security forces when he is not the president nor state governor? Many people have security organisations, Banks, Business premices even big men in soceity move around with their own private security team. My own neighbourhood has a security organisation or vigilante that we contribute and pay every month and they sometimes wear uniform. To insist that elections and democracy will be terminated in the SouthEast region?I can say that elections will not hold in Sokoto, what the law cares about is if I actually go to Sokoto to prevent elections, not my saying it. Did IPOB members not sack a political campaign and ambushed a governor in church, as a furtherance of this anti-democratic threat? The video is on Youtube, the governor went to a public place to campaign and IPOB was also there campaigning for election boycott which is their right since it a public place. As for the Church, IPOB were at the gate of the Church and not in the Church. I reckon the constitution also recognises Kanu as the supreme leader of the SouthEast region of Nigeria? What the law recognises is Kanu's right of freedom of association, speech, expression, belief and conscience. If the people freely decide to follow him, thats their business. Did IPOB itself not show us video evidence of its members attacking an army on a lawful and much publicized military exercise in the SouthEast region?Clash between civilian groups and the Army or Police happens in every country of the world from time to time, it is nothing new. Even Army and Police occasionally clash here in Nigeria. The video you are talking about, did you see the young man shot in the leg by the Army? Did IPOB itself not show us a video recorded prior to the lawful military exercise, with Kanu claiming he is in Biafra (Treason), and that any Nigerian army that enters Biafra will not depart alive (Terrorism)?Kanu is allowed to say those things under his right of free speech and if the authorities feel that he has said something unlawful, they should charge him to court or add to his existing charges. There was no lawful military exercise, operation Python dance was announced to start on the 15th of September. The Army invaded Kanu's home before then A threat that was carried out with a soldier wounded after terrorist attack by Kanu's IPOB.I also saw the picture of someone wearing military fatigues with a bloody hand but interestingly, the persons face was not in the picture. That picture could be from anywhere. The Army is not allowed to go to anywhere they like and under section 217 of the constitution, the President can only deploy Soldiers under 4 conditions, none of which applied to IPOB. Dude, you are only deceiving yourself with your new found romance with democracy anytime your are thoroughly dealt with by a legitimate democratic government. You are no democrat, rather your are a hypocritical anarchist and terrorist. This is about the law and constitution and operation Python dance was state sponsored terrorism because under the constitution, the Nigerian Army has no right or mandate to act a crime prevention outfit in a non combat zone. |
