Health practitioners, is it a myth or fact? Sincerely, i love to drink garri a whole lot of times. In retrospect, garri has always being a lifesaver when there is nothing else as food. I think some can concur with me. Way back in school it has being of great help in saving a life. Sometimes when suya comes in handy, soaked garri is the next thing i'd combine with or smoked fish and even pepper(though i haven't tried it...lol). What brings me to create a topic on this is the myth that soaking garri affects the eyes later in life as he/she grows older. Please how true is this? Health nairalanders candid & sincere contributions will be so appreciated and the wailers also can wail as they like, u are free as a kite. |

One basic property of garri is its hydrocyanic acid which sources from some school of thoughts claim isn't good for the eyes. Some school of thought believes adding oil palm reduces the acid content. Whether it's a myth or a fact, it can not be outrightly established as no one has ever been diagnosed of eye problem from excessive garri intake   |
