I really can't hide my admiration for Barr. Ejiofor Nk's lawyer. Justice Binta Nyako knows that the Govt. Is losing grounds on the case, and her reputation is on the line if she dance to the tunes of the Govt.

It is an honourable thing to do here.

The case has been frustrated by the military action which was unforeseeable at the time Nyako gave bail to the accused.

Now that Kanu's whereabout is unknown, Nyako obviously fears to call the N.A. to tell the court what they know about the the bailee's whereabout.

If she goes ahead with pressurising the sureties to produce Kanu or face the music; that will not be justifiable and will likely be upturned on appeal.

Her reputation and career should not be threatened by one frustrating case.

But, had the Fed. Gov't. Not sent the Army; This case would not had been frustrated. The court would have safely withdrawn Kanu's bail on grounds of breach of the bail conditions.

It is not good to interfer in a judicial process. We are said to be practicing Democracy, not militariocracy

You don talk am finish. She is afraid of ordering the military to produce Kanu and the defendant is making a valid case that the military invasion is directly tied to kanu's non-availability therefore the military has a case to answer.
Binta is trying to pretend that the military invasion have not been formally brought before it. I expect Kanu's lawyers to now apply in writing that the military should be summoned to appear before the court and explain how they invaded his house.

This is why even if you grant Easterners Biafra I know for a fact as an Edo guy who has had some knowledge about the Ibos that Ibos would still marginalise themselves.
We know an Ibo from Abakiliki is lesser in status than an Ibo from Anambra, and an Enugu Ibo does not like an Imo man to be ahead of him.
Little wonder,Ojukwu couldn't even get enough votes from his own tribesmen when he contested for presidency under APGA.
I can go on and on just explaining the futility of this backyard support for this ill-timed and unorganized secessionist agenda.
Even if Biafra becomes a dream. I know for a fact that the average Ibo man's greed would not even make the Biafran dream a reality.
Even South Sudan would be paradise when Biafra eventually births.

No, he has proven to be a sack lawyer who prefers making the case take so long by frustrating the judge. As the case continue, he keeps making his money. It's all to his benefit, but the nigerian government is also prepared to take it as far as he wants

Nigerian Govt. ko?? Buhari nii?

Frustrating the Judge is the only reason why his client has never been re-arrested, it's also the reason why his client has not been declared wanted! He will continue frustrating them until Buhari's tenure finishes and then we will c what happens from there!! grin
As a lawyer he is doing a pretty good job. cheesy

If he had breached the terms of his bail bond which he did on numerous occasions the govt should have applied to the court seeking a revocation of the said bail citing the breaches or the would have waited till yesterday for him to arrive the court and revoked it there and there but what did your useless myopic govt do ? they send the military into the man house guns blazing in an operation that saw saw over 27 people including his dog get killed and the ended up taking somebodies away( Kanu might have been one sef), That senseless military operation automatically interfered with an active judicial process and thoughtless people like you believe its Senator Abaribe that should pay for the gaffe instead of the Army.

You have not said anything.
Operation Egwe eke 11(Python dance 11) is just a routine operation which the military as tirelessly explained to stark brained people like you that it is meant to show military might.
But no. It now happened that your Lord and Saviour Kanu ran away like a mouse smoked out if it's hole when the soldiers came calling.
To the extent even his rag tag security outfit were no where to be found.

You said the government is myopic?
If you could still remember what the meaning of myopic mean it will be better.

1.Who broke his bail conditions?

2.Who started the name calling? (before his coming into the country)

3.Who called all other Nigerians animals except those who supported Ibop?(referring to Nigeria as a zoo)

And you think that charge-and-bail lawyer called Ejiofor would saviour him?

If you think because Binta Nyako is subtly saying she will be pulling out of the case would make us forget then I say, use you tongue to count your teeth.
And that this is Buhari government and he does not give up easily.

And as for the albino called Kanu he ain't seen nothing yet.
This is just the beginning by the time he is dealt with he would know khaki no be leather .

Lol, it is the Nigerian government case and not Buhari. Buhari is not Nigeria. Kanu case is between him and Nigeria not between him and Buhari. Kanu case is treason, meaning even if Buhari is gone, the case we still continue, lol. That's why I told u the Nigerian government can drag it as long as Kanu lawyer want.

Kanu began his agitation long before Buhari came into power, GEJ ignored him but Buhari didn't.

OBJ once said Buhari's greatest mistake was arresting NK, he even adviced Buhari to meet and dialogue with him.

So my friend, the problem is between Buhari led administration Vs NK and his brave lawyer EJIOFOR.

Hahahahaha, my guy u are deluded. It will be a case between Buhari and Kanu if Buhari is the one that personally sue Kanu to court. But Buhari did not sue Kanu to court, so he has no case with him. It is Nigeria that sue him for treason, and treason case is not dropped even if there is a change of government. It has never happened anywhere. It always continue even when the previous government have left, because it's between Nigeria and Kanu, not Buhari, Buhari is the president of Nigeria, but he is not Nigeria. Take note

The case is still in court but you have already decided that he is innocent since you are the self appointed Judge of the case, which brings us back to my original question: Why should a suspect on trial jump bail if he is innocent?

The government follows the constitution of Nigeria, the constitutions is one of the components of the republic. The constitution does not state that the case of treason should be dropped when there is a change of government.

The army deny having him in their custody. In Law there is a dictum which states 'The burden of proof lies with the accuser'. You will have to prove to the judge that the army has him otherwise he is assumed to have jumped bail and his surties will lose their freedom and or bail bonds
