Super eagles
Please go and learn how to score free kicks and corner kicks.
Also how to defend Corner kicks and free kicks.

That's what removes us from all world cups.
Penalty removed us in 94

Thoroughly beaten by Denmark in 98

Lack of experience players cost us 2002

The Yakubu and Keita factor in 2010

Well beaten by France in 2014, infact, yobo scored an own goal.

quote author=Alexanderbells2 post=61518545]For the love of Christ, can we make this happen?

I'd love us to play England cause if the following reasons:

1) England is a clueless and over rated team. Super eagles walloping their asṣ will boost our FIFA ranking. Yes, I'm dead certain well beat them!

2) The players who thought playing for England and not Nigeria, I mean the ones with naija blood in them would know the difference between Corn and corn flakes. Abraham, Ibe, and the likes. Beating the three lions will be a prove of how far our team has come.

3) Strong message to the world. The super Eagles may not be the best team in the world nor one of the favorites to win the cup but beating England would be a good noise and make other teams to take note of us. And trust me, the English press would talk about our team endlessly if we beat them well. Thus, the profile of some of our players, who I have always thought are good, would be boosted.

Hand is paining me abeg.....

Who has more reasons to add please?

Alexander Bells.[/quote]

Lol playing in a team with Kane,Dele Alli,Walker,Stones won't bring out the best in you? Naija won't even play up to midfield.

I’d love for this to happen but it seems everyone here kinda underrate the the 3 lion.

England may not have the best team in the world but I believe that they are good, they’ve just been unlucky in major events like the World Cup and European cups.

No team has managed to overwhelm them in these tournaments. In the past, they’ve held their own against teams like Brazil, Argentina, Germany and Portugal. They’ve been beaten by that cheeky, lucky goal like Ronaldinho’s, etc, lost to Portugal in penalty kicks, we’ve struggled against Argentina, they’ve beaten or held the Argentines.

It’s one match I’m looking forward to cos the experience would expose our boys or reinforce and boost their morale for the World Cup.
I do hope that Gernot would use his Germany link to secure us one with the Germany team as well.

Those two alone would help us prepare against most European teams.

I do hope we play a friendly against Brazil before the England one.
Don't mind these guys that don't know anything. England has never lost to an Asian/African team not even Nigeria's great 94 team.

Granted they are not in the class of Brazil, Spain and co but they are a solid team. A team that rarely ever gets drubbed. Most times when they exit a tournament is by penalties/narrow loss against very good opposition (usually a loss to a finalist or an eventual winner)

We make noise about our players playing in Europe (and sometimes these players are fringe players) while every English player that makes the English squad plays in Europe and is usually a regular for his club. If there's an overrated team it's Nigeria. When England failed to make it past the group stage in 2014 World Cup, it was the first time that would happen in 56 years.
