If a group of people decide to be alone and govern themselves, why can't they be?

Nb: I am not a political person but I am just curious as to why they can't let ipob be and have their own country.

I know you may be busy or lazy to check, hence I dash you few references.

1. Sudan and South Sudan.
2. USSR.
3. Eriteria and Ethiopia.
4. Pakistan and India.
5. North and South Korea.
6. Bakassi Region.
7 The Somalilands.

This can only be achieved by law or through violence.
I don't think they would have an edge in the national assembly(due to insignificant amount and reason) and violence might just be way bigger than them to handle.
