[quote author=Mbliz post=61674783]everyone can't be in the sciences. People ventures where they are best fitted. Beside, your opinion isn't needed.

I appreciate them ofcourse. It is not easy. Getting excellent grades is no mean feat.
And Lawyers are some of the most brilliant people out there, but my opinion still holds.
It may not be relevant, but they are my views nonetheless. And yes, not everybody can be in the sciences. That is very true.

A first class in law is something I somehow don't value too much. Maybe it is because it is in the humanities where talent is more often than not is verbally expressive and skill can be coached.
I hold a first class in the sciences with far more esteem.
Did you make a first class

TheLawTheLegal:
The University of Nigeria, Nsukka has yet again recorded success at the Nigerian Law School.

Out of the 29 students who made first class, four came from UNN.

Chisom Anameje, Viola Ebechima, Cyril Jennifer Okafor and Kosoko Nnona John graduated from UNN in 2016 and enrolled to the NLS for their compulsory one year law school programme.

While Jennifer Okafor and Viola Ebechima graduated with First Class from UNN, John Nnona and Chisom Anameje had 2.1 from UNN.

Na their way every yr be that nah, jst that they don't make much noise abt it.
If u doubt me, go and check the list of law school first class (graduates) in the last 20 yrs.
It is easier for a UNN law graduate to make 1st class in law school than in UNN. That dept dey downgrade/ press them down wella.
Na 3rd class and 2.2 dey full for the published graduate list/sheet....lol.
It's well.

So UNN alone takes 14% of first class graduands from the Nigerian Law School.

Lol. University of Lagos (Unilag) produced 6 1st Class Graduates.

Same Unilag had the highest last year.

All are intellectually challenging. Science combines both theory & practical. But law is actually one of those courses that has a practical base. Following rules to argue cases according to the constitution, be it the penal code, tort, corporate law, etc. And also following precedents. Same way a mechanical engineer, a genetic engineer or a chemist has to rely on empiricism and basic principles in guiding his work.

Sure, the extra time the scientists spends in the lab can be used by the arts person to read up massively.

We need to remember too that people of the arts, like the philosopher John Locke, were among those who promoted physical experience through experimentation as the best way to do science.
