Maina Gate: Coalition Passes Vote Of Confidence on Dambazau, Condemns His Truducers

It has come to our notice that since the Alhaji Abdulrasheed Maina saga graped national attention, systematic and sustained efforts has been made by groups, individuals and mischief makers in the country to incriminate and tarnish the unblemished and enviable track records of the Honourable Minister of Interior, retired Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Dambazau.

What has become worrisome is the way and manner in which some individuals and organisations has being pronouncing their ill-informed verdicts on an issue whose veracity is yet to be unravelled.

We have read several narratives concerning the issue which has made it very difficult for Nigerians to understand the entire issue in an unbiased manner.

As a result, every news story in the media is a product of pathological lies predicated on speculations and not facts.

For individuals and groups across the country to rely on the make-up stories sponsored in our national dailies by the 'media cabal' to call for the removal of the Honourable Minister of Interior is a great disservice to the nation.

We believe that the unprecedented attention given to the story by our media organizations at the expense of developments and other positive stories in the country leaves much to be desired.

Based on this fact, the media has moved from serving the interest of the masses to serving the special interests of the people who over the years held Nigeria down before the rescue mission of the Buhari administration.

Therefore, as responsible youths organisation who believe in the integrity and experience which General Dambazau has displayed in the service of our fatherland, we will never allow his integrity to be tamed or tarnished by any group or individuals.

Hence, we are warning the special interest groups behind the story to leave General Dambazau out of their schemes because he does not deserve the uncharitable treatments and the negative portrayal currently given to him in the mass media.

General Dambazau has served this country in different capacities without any problem whatsoever.

May we also inform the traducers of the minister, that General Dambazau is a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and not a Permanent Secretary who relates and oversees the affairs of the Civil Servants.

As a result, the office of the Minister does not handle issues related to staff recruitments, disengagements, re-engagements, promotions and other roles of the civil service handled by career civil servants.

Further attempts to drag General Dambazau in to the saga would be strongly resisted by Nigerian youths because justice is distorted when the victim pays for the conducts of the accused.

Therefore, we are passing our vote of confidence on General Dambazau and we urge President Muhammadu Buhari to ignore the self serving calls by vested interests for the removal General Dambazau as Minister.

Signed:

Prince Adetokumbo Kayode,
National Coordinator,
National Youths Coalition.

All the scenarios are playing out as predicted.
Next will be placard carrying youths/elders who would tag themselves as one NGO and come out in support of Dambazzau and Malami.
Arewa youths may also join the fray, saying both men are being targeted by Southerners and corrupt people, listing fathom unprecedented reforms both have made in their ministries.
They may even go to the extent of having their cars shot at,blaming it also on corruption fighting back.
Bunch of bloody almajiris!

When I say that Buhari is a dullard Zombies say otherwise ..The wisest thing for the presidency would have been to accept full responsibility for the reienstatement of Maina and stand thier ground that maina was victim of Corruption but the useless dullard went into denial mide as expected and things are getting worse that they now want to blame innocent perm secs

Patriot,
This scandal has PMB written all over it. So, I doubt your PMB will do anything. Moreover, I can see the hand of Esau but the voice of Jacob echoing from the Media.
Jagagban, respect Sir.

Can Nigeria ever get better? When people like this are bought over just because of a few coins. Honestly, a revolution can and will only get Nigeria back from these monsters parading as leaders.
