The list is sitting pretty in 7th floor and awaiting MD's approval. No one knows why he is pending it. He has bn rolling out contracts and jobs (" aunties" and "uncles"/ politicians and whoever y'all are choosing blaming aren't impeding those, yet they just really fancy the scholarship that dont add any coins to them). I'll advice that we defer our admissions to January if your school don't v January then apply to a school that has. Finally pray we all mk the list. All this will be worth it at the end. NDDC scholarship list will be out next year. September admissions should be deferred

Your source has told you what we already know. What your source should have told you is why the "trying to pay" has lasted since March and why it is taking management that long to approve disbursements of funds for a project that is fully budgeted for and perhaps specifically when that will be done so they can move on to releasing successful 2017 awardees list.

Thanks for the update. The issue past set always get from NDDC officials is that the management has not approved the tuition payment. Have they finally approved it or they are scheduling meeting to?

All their children are abroad living the life. None have to ever worry about cash. I blame the present Administration for refusing to hold this people accountable. It seems like anyone who is close to those at the top will never face probe and this is what is giving them the authority to do what they are doing. We can only pray for God to touch their hearts so that they can do what is right.

Yeah...the current administration is to be blamed squarely. They ought to hold nddc official to account. The damage to Nigeria name in various foreign countries is palpable

this obviously is a sad news for eager prospects for this year's scholarship,and we sure do have some on this thread, but at same time is the most sensible thing to do now, no need going and becoming a nuisance with unpaid fees and and no living expense.


Only fear is that this might mark the end of NDDC scholarship as we know it,if this pause ⏸ is not done properly.

The Hon. Min Of MNDA PST USANI has directed the suspension of new scholarship awards until the back log of payments to scholars are cleared.

2017 Beneficiaries will be eligible to use the scholarship next year when contacted. Also there's no cause for alarm of no awards for 2017 cos the process was completed jst the awards being delayed due to the issues with previous scholars.
However, I have no guarantee after 2017 awards concerning the scheme. But I'm hopeful it is sustained to continually help bright minds from the region in achieving their career goals. Goodluck To Everyone awaiting the final list.

To the owed scholars. Pls do well like the biblical leper to return here when y'all begin to receive payments and show gratitude to everyone inclusive of the media platforms that assisted in shaming the act of NDDC concerning this scheme.
I don't know why it has to result to protest/fights before our leaders perform. They are never proactive.

I wanna hope that it would truly be paid. I hope this isn't another politics. For more than one year nddc has consistently promise payment with no substance. I never believe Nigeria would one day come down to this level.

Nddc saying those not paid were awarded from last administration. Thi's a foolish thing to say. Who enthroned the new administration? Is it not the people so they may get more value out of governance? We did we do to deserve this as Nigerians?

Finally, someone has said the truth. When I analyzed this earlier one numskull was saying rubbish.
The truth is that the man is planning to run for 2019 and is gathering money for that. Secondly, scholarship fund is huge, as a criminal, he can't see such money go without fighting to get his share. So he is spending speedily on contract and donations to steal enough then he can look at the scholarship.
I have called the attention of the Speaker and I hope they'll do something. The Senate Chairman on NDDC is worse than the rogue sitting there.

Let us continue to use every avenue to make our voices be heard. The only luck they have is that I am not in PH
I don't mind forfeiting this scholarship but I'll ensure he doesn't get away.

Similar thing happened in my university, they were not paying students on IT several years before I entered the school. In third year I went for my IT, suffered and I didnt get my 15k but students in other schools who I worked with got theirs. I promised myself that it can't happen. I went to ITF, wrote to them quoting FOI and God...see the millions the school has been collecting and sharing.

The bad thing was that the letter came to my HOD's table and she opened the letter. That is another case. After, my efforts, today students are being paid ITF allowance. I didn't bother collecting mine again because I know what may happen. That was few years ago. Today, my lecturers keep praising me for the bravery.

This is our country. Let us not keep quiet when thinga are going wrong. Speak out even if it is using social media. Most importantly, youths must understand the word collaboration. Together we can move mountains. Do not say he is my brother or my tribesman. It may hurt you down the line. It may be your children or family member that may be the prize.

NDDC under Nsime is a charade. Please do not bring in Amaechi or Semenitiri, they have done their part. Let this man do his and if possible make it better.

The truth about this NDDC scholarship for 2017 is that it might never happen, now we 2017 scholars have to wait for next year for these awards pending when 2015 scholars get paid. 2018 is a bad year for such awards as funding for political position becomes a priority. And then we have to contend with another fresh set to compete with for such awards.
