Throwback:
If this is true, I can only say one thing.

The current HOS and Minister of Interior Dambazau are inglorious bastards.

The minister of Justice is in office to frustrate the anti-corruption fight.

He was appointed by the president who has had many instances of this lack of uprightness in Malami, hence the president is himself responsible for frustrating his own agenda. The race for who wins most corrupt and useless Attorney General is between Michael Aondoakaa and Malami.

In the end, there is corruption, but no fight.

Buhari regime has sacked itself. It is finished!
Egbon, what's happened to you.

Just curious...

Anti-Corruption in Nigeria is false.

CHRONICLE OF INTEGRITY Muhammadu Buhari started his anti corruption crusade with $2.1bn Dasukigate, Sambo Dasuki was arrested, Raymond Dokpesi, Fani Kayode, Musuliu Obanikoro, Olisa Metuh, and Reuben Abati were also arrested in connection with Dasukigate. While the government was busy wanking and masturbating with the gale of arrests and media frenzy that trailed the episodic drama, Dasuki opened up that Buhari also benefited from the $2.1bn arms fund, Dasuki reveled that he bought 2 bulletproof SUVs for Buhari from the money, he also gave him $300,000 from the same money. But Buhari denied collecting any money from Dasuki, he said he only got 2 bulletproof SUVs form him as his entitlement being a former head of state.
Muhammadu Buhari forgot that former heads of state entitlements have never come from the office of the NSA before but office of the SGF, they said those accusing Buhari are the corrupt people fighting back. And that was how Dasukigate died a natural death.

The allegation of MTN N500m bribery scandal involving Buhari's Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari popped up.

Tukur Buratai's multi million dollars Dubai mansions were uncovered.

Abdurrahman Dambazau arms procurement fraud was revealed.

Rotimi Amaechi's several attempts to bribe Supreme Court justices to give APC favorable election judgment were exposed.

Kayode Fayemi's corruption allegation also came up, but Buhari shamelessly told the whole world that all the corruption allegation leveled against people in his government are false because he checked them before appointing them.

Then the Senate exposed how the then SGF, Lawal Babachir used N270m to cut grass in IDP camps, Buhari's government cleared him of any wrong doing.

The government also cleared Ibrahim Magu of the weighty corruption allegations leveled against him, in fact, Muhammadu Buhari officially wrote the Senate that both men are clean. Then when Ikoyi orphaned money once again exposed how corrupt this government is, he suspended Babachir that he cleared twice of the same allegation. Up till this moment the report of the probe panel is not known to the public.

A witness told the court that Buhari's lawyer who was representing him in the certificate suit gave the presiding judge, Justice Adeniyi Ademola N500,000 at the period the case was still on but they said it wasn't a bribe but a gift.

Just recently one of Buhari's ministers, Ibe Kachikwu tactically exposed the biggest single corruption case in the history of this country in NNPC under Baru, a whooping $25bn fraud in a government of saints?

If Buhari that is the petroleum minister can approve contracts worth $25bn without due process and transparency, then why are we still talking about anti graft war under this government?

There is a whole lot of looting massively going on in this government but the only corrupt people they know are Jonathan's men

Remember d tribalistic Buhari went against CBN price policy 2subsidize price of dollar4 Muslims Goin 2mecca but refused to do same 4 Christians on pilgrimage 2 Jerusalem. An adage says "a man who eats a coconut whole must have faith in his anus'

Daboomb:
The Problem with this sort of writeUp is that in its attempt to score big points, it's writers usually embellish the truth with a lot of lies!

Just state what you are CERTAIN is the TRUTH and let people make their judgement.

For example:
Magu's case:
We all know this is corruption fighting back. the House Magu was accused of living-in, was rented for him by the FCDA.
magu was never accused of looting any money by anybody or any proof shown to that effect.
How then can you say he is corrupt, just because another "angry" cabinet Minister who is in-bed with looters (DSS Chief) wrote a contradictory report over him?

Kachukwu's case: Kachukwu himself has come out to clarify that he did not say baru or what is his name, stole $25B or that the money was missing. His allegation was that the guy was bypassing him as his superior. That one is not corruption but insurbordination for which baru should be queried and sanctioned.

Babachir Lawal: That man is a conformed rogue but you dont expect the President to make a negative pronouncement on someone, without a proper investigation and irrefutable proof. PMB has to stand on the path of caution until otherwise is proved.
And he then ordered an investigation which has made recommendations to the President. What we need is for the President ot be seen to take action as recommended.
How is Buhari corrupt in that one?

Dasukigate: Dasuki perpetrated a lot of fraud under Jonathan, with the approval and connivance of Jonathan himself.
All the people you mentioned, that were arrested by the EFCC were fingered by Dasuki himself and some of them have pleaded guilty through a PLEA BARGAIN to refund the money back and some have acttually returned Money (I would love they and every other looter rot in jail, so you know).
Buhari was an ex-President and where money used to buy his entitled, official vehicle comes from, is a decision of the current Govt in power at that point (Jonathan and his army of thieves). You cant hang that one on Buhari's neck as corruption, that he was given a vehicle he was entitled to.
The real criminal that used and appropriated money meant for procurring Arms to do such is Dasuki and he is stil in detention till date.
The money to buy a vehicle for any ex-President (including Buahri, OBJ, IBB, e.t.c) will certainly come from the coffers of the Govt and where exactly it comes from, is the decision of the sitting president and his cabinet (Jonathan and Dasuki! ).
It does not make the Ex-Presidents corrupt.

But let me digress a bit as l am not trying to exonerate Buhari orhis Govt here.

On the issue of double standard in pilgrimage, which is also a form of corruption by this Govt of Buhari, in paying/subsidizing for Muslims going on Pilgrimage, is very bad, since same is not done for Christians and smirks of Nepotism, something l think is Buhari;s greatest undoing.
Anyone that wants to go on pilgrimage should be a ble to afford it. We have mnore pressing needs (Education, Health and infrstructure, e.t.c) where such money can be put to better use.

Now, concerning Buratai, l dont think his issue has been completely forgotten but right now, he is in the service of the nation in a very important and sensitive position (tackling Boko haram) and we can always revisit his case later, when things are a bit okay on the security scene.
We can keep changing leadership of the military, based on owning a House in Dubai (I know most military echelons are rogues, that one is not news), when we are in the middle of a war.
A sensible leader knows when to weild the big stick.

On Ikoyi warehouse Forex: I think the panel that investigated that allegation has recommended the dismissal of the DG of the NIA.
What l think the President shoudl do is to make the Report available for nigerians to read and to implement it to the letter. To do otherwise will protray him as encouraging and covering-up corruption. You are right on the ball concerning that.

Finally, l think that Buhari is very guilty in the areas of NEPOTISM, for example his sealed lips and paying lip-service to this issue of Fulani herdsmen.
It is not just Buhari but the Fulani members of the Nigerian Military who look the other way and allow these herdsmen to slaughter innocent people at will. The recent one being in Benue where 29 people who were under the protection of the military were slaughtered right in the presence of the military unit led by another Northerner!
Funnily, not a single of the herdsmen were killed and not a single soldier sustained bullet wounds..... on`ly the 29 civilians were "offered" to be slaughtered.
Its a Big SHAME on the military, that they cannot even protect citizens right under their nose!
But then, l think these fulani military officers are just taking a cue from the "body language" of the President, when it comes to looking the other way as long as the criminals in question are Notherners (I have nothing against Norhterners afterall, Benue people are not Southerners o Easterners)

In every criminality that involves a Northerner, Presidnet Buahri has always shown "Double-standard" and this will be his greatest undoing.
We his supporters expect that he would have out-grown such tendency but obviously, he hasn't.

So, when you write, please dont mix-up the issues or allow your prejudice to becloud any truth in whatever you write.
Shoot straight and keep it real. It is when you keep it real that you rmessage will resonate with everyone

Buahri may not be guilty of corruption but his Nepotism is alarmingly glaring

so its right for just two people to be involve in the award of contracts totaling $25b without a board meeting or FEC approval, some of u are saying that that is how it has always been , even under kachikwu as GMD. so because kachikwu enjoyed same as GMD, does that make it right?

But let me digress a bit as l am not trying to exonerate Buhari orhis Govt here.
I nearly laughed my arse out on that lame point, Buhari a private citizen will determine for the government in power where his entitlements will come from, that is what happens when an illiterate is given freedom of speech and nairaland provides the platform to showcase his illiteracy, Government should start a programme that allows police to shoot some dumb people in our society.

Now, concerning Buratai, l dont think his issue has been completely forgotten but right now, he is in the service of the nation in a very important and sensitive position (tackling Boko haram) and we can always revisit his case later, when things are a bit okay on the security scene.

You actually goofed on this one, no job is more important than the image of a government especially when it bothers around corruption, corruption in the army was the reason we lost a lot of good men to BHT in 2014, so once you excuse corrupt army leadership, you have already murdered the fight against terror.

My take on the Buratai's case is this; Buratai bought a flat in Dubai, costing between 150m naira to 200m naira, Buratai's basic salary as a Lt Gen is between 40m to 50m naira annually aside other emoluments, notable of which are foreign mission allowances, currently Nigeria is active in several foreign missions, by earnings alone, every sane person can see clearly that Burantai can afford a 150m naira house comfortably, the problem we have in this part of the world is that our ignorance is too high that god at some point must have contemplated transforming some Nigerians to insects for their inability to maximize the use of their brains.
A Brig. Gen takes home between 20m to 30m annually, if Burantai moved from that rank to where he is today in the last 6yrs, he can comfortably afford that house without breaking sweat, lastly are you aware he declared that house in his asset declaration form at the CCT on resumption as the COAS? That's the part the dead brains never tells you, do you declare a stolen item at the security?

On Ikoyi warehouse Forex: I think the panel that investigated that allegation has recommended the dismissal of the DG of the NIA.

Finally, l think that Buhari is very guilty in the areas of NEPOTISM, for example his sealed lips and paying lip-service to this issue of Fulani herdsmen.
what is he supposed to do? beg you you to turn on your tv so you will be informed that operation Sharan Daji is ongoing tackling them? Or he should shout "daris god ooo" on camera like the hippopotamus we inherited from the previous administration?

1. appointing 15 persons without following the federal character and without a board meeting is corruption

2. approving a whopping $26b contract without a board meeting and without the knowledge of the minister of state who is the board chairman nor the substantive minister who happens to be osinbajo whom power was handed over to while the president was sick is corruption

the president having handed over power, has no constitutional right to approve any document until power was restored to him, that means he did it alone
without passing through the crucible of checks and balances is corruption

3. this govt having given us hope of fighting corruption could not detect that (given baru's defence) that corruption will hold sway if such an amount is approved by only two people, GMD and substantive minister without a board meeting will create room for corruption which eventually happened

am not quoting any act, what am saying is that if there is non, there suppose to be a board under this corruption fighting administration to checkmate excesses of individuals in awarding contracts. there is even a board under NNPC, of what purpose is it, if one of its purposes is not to checkmate contracts, only trivial things, then it is useless. after all they are the ones that unbundled NNPC

am not quoting any act, what am saying is that if there is non, there suppose to be a board under this corruption fighting administration to checkmate excesses of individuals in awarding contracts. there is even a board under NNPC, of what purpose is it, if one of its purposes is not to checkmate contracts, only trivial things, then it is useless. after all they are the ones that unbundled NNPC

am not the one that asked them to use corruption as a campaign tool. so the chicken has come to roost let them practicalise it
If you can not quote the NNPC act that butresses your claim on the role of the board, then you are just one of those ignorant folks roaming the pages of nairaland, perhaps you thought you are talking to a child. keep your factual card on the table, where you can't kindly take a walk.

Nigeria’s Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, has reacted to an exclusive PREMIUM TIMES story on how the federal government reinstated a sacked civil servant despite a pending corruption trial.

This newspaper on Friday reported how controversial chairman of the defunct Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina, was secretly recalled to the service and promoted to head a directorate in the Interior ministry.

Mr. Maina was in 2013 declared wanted by the Nigeria’s anticorruption agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Checks by PREMIUM TIMES show that Mr. Maina is still on the commission’s wanted list.

“Dark complexioned Maina is allegedly complicit in the over N 2 billion Pensions Biometric Scam in the office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation. He remains at large, after charges were filed against his accomplices,” the EFCC stated on its website.

Mr. Dambazau, in a statement by his press secretary, Ehisienmen Osaigbovo, confirmed that Mr. Maina is now in charge of the Human Resources Department of the ministry.

The minister however denied responsibility for Mr. Maina’s recall to the service.

The statement explained that Mr. Maina “was posted few days ago to the Ministry of Interior by the Office of the Head of Service on an Acting capacity to fill a vacancy created following the retirement of the Director heading the Human Resources Department in the Ministry”.

The minister blamed Mr. Maina’s recall on the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation and the Federal Civil Service Commission.

He said the two bodies are responsible for “issues relating to Discipline, Employment, Re-engagement, Posting, Promotion and Retirements of Federal Civil Servants.”
The statement did not say if Mr. Dambazau was aware Mr. Maina is still a fugitive wanted by the EFCC.

“It is understood that Maina’s last posting was with the Ministry of Interior, and that is probably why he was re-posted back to the Ministry,” the statement added.

Trouble started in 2012 when Mr. Maina was accused of leading a massive pension fraud scheme amounting to more than N100 billion. Mr. Maina, was drafted by the Goodluck Jonathan administration in 2010 to sanitize a corrupt pension system.

Based on the allegation of corruption, Mr. Maina was invited by the Senate Joint Committee on Public Service and Establishment and State and Local Government Administration.

The Senate after completion of its investigation issued a Warrant of Arrest against Mr. Maina.

Ignoring the panel, Mr. Maina went ahead to sue the Senate and the then Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, and thereafter went into hiding after being declared wanted by the police.

Consequent upon this, Mr. Maina was dismissed by the Head of Service for allegedly absconding from duty and attempting to evade arrest and charged to court.

He was on July 21, 2015 charged by the EFCC alongside Stephen Oronsaye and two others before a Federal High Court on a 24-count charge bordering on procurement fraud and obtaining by false pretence.

While Mr. Oronsaye and the two other accused were in court and pleaded not guilty to the charge, Mr. Maina was at large.

Mr. Maina is said to have spent these past years in the United Arab Emirates, from where he kept lobbying to win pleasure of the Buhari administration.
