1. No, you need PoF after ITA, not when creating a profile
2. Yes, most debit cards will work. I used FBN card.

How come you applied for your transcripts before WES ECA application? You need WES reference number for the transcripts. Also WES expects your school to send the transcripts to them directly.

Don't know if this is what he did, but you can get your WES reference no without paying by selecting the Western Union option of payment, you get the reference number then pay whenever with a debit/credit card.

Not sure, but I think a letter of explanation should suffice. I personally won't risk it though.
Why don't you just go ahead and change your account name. It should reflect in 5 working days max, easy-peasy.

Thank you cochtrane, really appreciate.

cochtrane:

It's advisable to have your POF as early as you can, though not compulsory. It's just to help you with having your POF for the usual 6 months so you can reflect a comfortable liquid situation. But of course this is not mandatory. In addition, once they issue you ITA, you want to have everything ready.
By the time you are ready to submit your application though, you have to make sure your POF is ready.

I'm not sure about this, but I guess you can use your regular debit card provided you don't exceed the daily limit for your bank. But you sure can use a dollar MasterCard if you have one.

Wish you the best on this journey. Settle in for the long haul, lol.

Learned n experienced housemates. Please @ wat stage of the application does one needs to have the schedule A form filled n submitted like i read some people said it should be submitted upfront (this i dont understand) as i tot the schedule A form is to b uploaded along side other docs while one fills e-APR). Please, those in the know should help clarify.

If peradventure, it is to b submitted/sent upfront. To what address or is its submission done by uploading it?

Thank U all as I await clarifications

Thanks HighBK, your response is highly appreciated.

We both applied to WES before processing the transcripts. Transcript was sent with the reference number. And payments can be made after receipt of documents. Thank you.

Thank you Enryking, really appreciate!

Enryking:

Just use your credit card if you don't want to be stressed. It's easier and faster as you will get a notification from them instantly.

Secondly, while am yet to get into the pool, I know you don't need POF to get into the pool. The pool is a somewhat assessment mechanism to determine if you have the requirements to apply. You will only need POF when applying.

My PPR story.
I am not a fan of travelling so I invested in professional and academic qualifications with an MBA, MSc and chartered qualification, I couldn't achieve my goals. So from the the days of Zandora and Dupsyshoo, I joined to read and just read updates for several months. I wrote IELTS with contribution money and requested for remark when my writing was scored 6.5 and later it was upgraded to 7.5
My WES was smooth with help from a friend who paid part of it. I started this journey as a trial and ran to Australia nairaland because of POF. I came back when the process wasn't favourable.
It became more real with ITA on March 1 but the worse happened. I lost all the money I raised for POF to Ponzi Schemes between February and April. From GHW to MMM, all my life savings was gone. And to make maters worse, I lost my job too.
Life became meaningless and I was in debt so I relocated back to stay with my parents and they have been feeding me.
From giving people money, I could no longer afford recharge card and I scampered around for POF. I submitted my application 6days to deadline.
I was stuck later because my POF showed review required in my GCMS. Its was written in capital letters that THE PA HAS FALLEN BELOW REQUIRED POF OF 12,300. And my case was left to pure discretion of the Visa officer and the hand of God.
Today its PPR because I never gave up, I knew my downfall wasn't the end of my life and that someday I will smile again.
Nothing can stop you except you chose to stop.

@revlane, your story can only be God. Congratulations!

Upfront means you don't wait until it is requested for later ie ADR. Usually those with previous visa refusals decide to fill it and submit in additional docs placeholder. However, it is up to you. I filled one upfront and submitted it. Whether I might have been asked for it later, had I not submitted upfront, I would never know.

Good day everyone.

A big shout out to all the contributors on this thread. May God bless you all.

I recently wrote my general ielts yesterday in the UK with the aim of applying for a visa in Australia (visa 476). I never thought I was eligible for the Canadian EE. It was at the test center that a fellow candidate enlightened me. I got home and also found more information from nairaland and phew. I did some predictions based on my expected ielts scores and discovered that I could garner between 444-456 points despite having less than 2 years experience. But I still have a few questions.

I am about to start my certificate verification. I understand that Wes is faster and that it takes them about 20 business days to complete the verification. That is about a month. Does the 20 business days include the date of delivery? The reason for my worry is that, my UK visa expires in early January and I wouldn't want to risk having my credentials delivered to an address I no longer use. And is if possible for me to tell them to deliver it to my Nigerian address.

My second concern is about the proof for fund. If I am able to have the scores I predicted above and the points used for invitation is around anything around the scores used in the recent ones (I checked that on this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/past-rounds.asp ), it means I may risk receiving an ITA without having a POF yet. So I intend not to enter the pool yet even if I have everything else I need. Until I have my POF ready.

My third question is for a friend whom I'm persuading to apply. Her stance is that, her one year teaching experience during NYSC is not usually accepted in the application. She claims that secondary school teaching is not part of the skills they need. She studies biochemistry in first degree, an Biotechnology for her masters. I am of the opinion that her occupation as a biologist should suffice. But I said I would help her to as on nairaland. I am also using my NYSC experience, but my case is different. I was attached to a university.

I know I have asked a lot of questions, but please, I would appreciate your answers and advise.

Thanks

Welcome to the thread.

1. You shouldn't be concerned much about the postal address to use. A softcopy will be sent to you. It's all you need for the process.

2. You will have a 90 day grace from the day your receive your ITA for you to submit your application. I believe it's enough time to tie any loose ends. Baba I pray the container of ITA fall on you . No time to check time

3. Minimum requirement is a 1-year paid employment. NYSC can be used. She would need to get a reference letter from the employer. With her Masters and age being on her side, she can still have good score with 1 year experience. Secondary school teacher noc 4031 qualifies.
NB: The occupation you choose has nothing to do with where you'll work when you land

CRS score crashed from 447 to 403 cry. I have already scheduled Nov 11th to write another test. I hope this time i will get at least an 8 in listening. I have learnt a lot from this thread, you guys are simply amazing. All the best to everyone as we pursue this worthy cause.

Hello house, the NOC one chooses depends on experience and not the qualification right?

Then, please help provide advice on the below

- someone studied sciences, has one year NYSC experience, has another one year in a stockbroking firm then currently works in an auditing firm for one year now. can the person go ahead and claim points for 3yrs experience? given that the experiences are distinct and can't qualify for one NOC... also, different from the Bsc acquired.

Thanks smiley
@ Datechman , please can you offer advice based on the above? must the experience one claims be based on one NOC?

Firstly, unlike the Austrailian Immigration scheme, the Canadian express entry does not require that your qualification be related with your experience.
To answer your first question, I would say it is a grey area. It has been debated here severely. While some hold the opinion that you can combine experience from different Noc insofar your primary Noc is above 1 year, others believe it must be same noc or related noc grin. My humble opinion is if you will get a good score with 1 noc don't combine. But if you desperately need those points, combine. The worst that can happen is for your application to be rejected post-ITA.
