Take the job. Don't conclude without trying. If it is too stressful, you can then resign.
Thanks ma

No, I am not God but that still doesn’t make me ordinary in my own understanding. An ordinary man is a man/person without God and without hope.

I can’t find anything in my post that suggests acquisition. If this is how you reason, then it’s not healthy for you. You’ve actually justified my reservation about offering help without being asked for.

Let me give you some advice, Nairaland is a faceless forum, it doesn’t make sense for you to feel someone is richer or better than you are just from their comments. You can be better than that person.
I’ll also advise you desist from comments like “what do you think you have?”, “Are you better than me” these are comments from losers. Where you are today does not determine your future. You have a whole lot ahead of you to be the best you can be and fulfill your destiny. kiss

I’m not ordinary. grin

cool cool this is a ghen ghen something ooo!!! Lol

Flimsy excuses. ... the baby was crying for food and she wanted to make him /her stop crying.
.....Or the baby suddenly latched unto my bosom angry how did bosom become exposed for baby to see it?
.....or I want to check if baby is hungry (most annoying especially if you left your baby sleeping and grandma picks up the sleeping baby and stuck it in)
The annoying part is that she spends most times of the year abroad and when she's around in naija she sweats like no man's business even in ac. Now puts the sweat coated b r e a s t in my baby's mouth. .......no no

Sweat coated breast!!!!! Jesu!!! Apostle must hear of this grin grin grin grin kpele

Mydreams25,
I am yet to see a job that is really family friendly... Ilorin is a city that you can easily get access around I.e dropping off your kids with grannie and picking them in the evening. My dear there is nothing impossible. I run 24 hrs shifts, same with hubby and I have an 11 month old with no help and we are smiling to the glory of God. Who says you can't?
Yes you can.
Cheers.
Oh thanks for the encouragement, I will go to my parents and explain the issue with them cos they will be needed in this situation.

Good afternoon mothers, pls I need advice from experienced people. Here goes my story.
Am a mother of two( first is almost 3years, second is almost 7months). I don't have a job, been seriously looking for one that is family friendly but haven't gotten, my dh has someone that can help me with a banking job but we are both afraid of how to cope with it and the kids but the present economic situation is not smiling now. I don't have any help I, my dh and 2children stay alone but my parents reside in the same state with us ( Ilorin to be precise). My question now is those that have worked in a bank or working in a bank without any help, pls how do you cope? I don't have any experience with banking job but I do hear its very stressful for family women but if I have reasons to back it up I will rethink.
Let me add that my dh's job too is demanding and closes 6:30pm almost everyday. So pls should I go for this job or keep waiting for better one if yes pls I need advice on how to manage my home with it. Pls I need a reply based on experience.
Thanks n anticipation
I get u... But can u do something for urslf... If u want to be able to take care of ur children.... Learn a skill... Learn how to make something and sell... Banking work no doubt will take ur time.... Unless u want to be leaving ur children in a creche all the time... I av a baby... She's almost 7mnths... Honestly I dnt want a maid but I want to be able to take care of her and odas coming without going out so much to look for money.... So I decided to learn some things send sell... Very soon I will be selling my hair products (to the glory of God)

I work in a bank and my scenario is almost like urs as I don't have a help at home and I have 2 kids (3yrs n 1yr). I also stay in d same area with my parents so it has been a really huge bonus. Lemme just share how My typical day goes:
Wake up 4 , prepare breakfast and pack lunch for us and d kids den bathe and dress them same time dh is doing his own morning routine. Once he is done, he takes over and feeds dem while i quickly prepare myself for work. We all drive off afterwards to drop dem at sch , den i drop off and head to work while dh enters d hub of traffic(Apapa).
My dad has a more flexible time so he goes to pick dem frm school and stays with dem till we return, den we all head home . Quickly prepare dinner, arrange d kids things for d next day , get dem to bed (anoda work on its own cos na dat time dem go wan play, no understand say mummy n daddy don tire from d office hustle n bustle) den collapse on d bed too tired for anything else smiley.

In all dese, d house and its general ambience may suffer as sweeping and cleaning may not b an everyday tin. Just try to clean once once sha in d evenings wen d kids have slept.. This is how we run until weekend wen u can rest a bit before d crazy cycle starts again.

The unit u work in and ur bosses also add to what u need to consider. Just make use of ur parents availability bt if dat wont work (proximity issues) , get a good creche and pay for after school care for both of dem so u can pick dem wen u close. Since Ilorin may not have heavy traffic, u can make good time in picking dem up from d creche.

Anyhow sha, Weigh the financial benefit against d stress and adjustments u may have to make and knw if it will b worthwhile. Bt pls, dnt reject it without trying first. Discuss with ur hubby on how u can run d whole tin and pray he assists /supports u. Dis economy no dey smile so every kobo counts. U can do it.!
God bless you ma, this is actually what I needed. I have saved your write up and will work with it if I get the job. Will find time to discuss extensively with dh and go to my parents for their support. At least I know what next now.

Ma petite has been referred to see a dermatologist concerning the recurrent skin boils cos i can't really classify it as rashes. She's been having these since she was 4 months old, and till now @ 22 months we are still having episodes at least once every 6 weeks
These stuffs that shows up on her legs and arms have really dealt with my dear. They itch terribly and when she scratches and d water that comes out touches another place they pop up in other points too

So we saw a specialist today who said d primary diagnosis is popular urticaria, though she thinks it could be insect bites and her skin is super sensitive...I told her I doubted that anyway and that i suspected food allergy cos whenever she eats soya or groundnuts she'll have an outbreak. I also noticed that she reacts to disposable daipers i mean all the ones we have tried but is comfortable with 100% cloth daipering.

She said no doubt her skin is sensitive to the components of the disposables, and adviced i just stick to cotton if that be the case
Na wa which Kain skin dis pickin get na...I find it tough to keep up with cloth daipering o honestly @ Alphahandmaiden I need tips please. Thank God she's already started potty training..I can't wait to stop using diapers. I just pray I don't have such issues with my next baby by his grace cos this skin issue is energy sapping

The Dr said food allergy test is usually her last resort cos its expensive, say like 80k i was like jeeezzz! Thats a huge sum

She just adviced i cover her legs properly whenever she's out to avoid insect bites like sunfly n d likes which could also b d culprit, change her bathing soap to DOVE cos its mild, keep watching what she eats, use a tropical antibacterial cream when d need arises and stop flooding her system with antibiotics cos honestly thats what we've been doing all the while and now it seems her system is too used to it that it seldom works

Though, it was soothing to hear that she will outgrow it soon.
This is a quick update incase any baby here is having same recurrent skin issues
May God protect our LO's for us

Chai, see as I just envy you. My baby wakes up at midnight and even takes time to sleep back right from birth. Almost 2months now
You will soon be relieved. My first son too showed me shege but this one is just different, I complained to people when I noticed it after a month that how can a small baby sleep all through the night without food they all said he will change but up till now almost 7months he hasn't changed. Even the diaper he wears at night won't be changed till morning when he wakes up.

My hubby and his siblings have this kinda allergy. He would eat something and big big bumps would appear all over his body then disappear over the next few hours. And so many foods cause it its almost impossible to narrow down whats causing it. Ive noticed that most of his nieces have allergies too, one had this boil issue that sounds so similar to what you are describing, her mum tried everything but people told her she should just wait that the baby would outgrow it, and the baby finally did, at about 3 years old.
