I remember telling my mum that last some years after watching one American film like that and she looked at me somehow and said I shouldn't say that to anyone else..
I was still young then shaa

I never told my mum I love her when she was alive. Buh now that she's dead I now realise how much I do love her, and how I wish I had the opportunity of kissing her forehead while telling her I love u mum!!!

hmmm. Don't stress yourself. What's more important to me is trying to be more better than friends and family's imagination.

Telling my mom I love feel feels weird. Even when I would be sick she doesn't ask. Only thing she would say is "wenti dey do you?. And that's it. I will stay in the bed and shiver alone.

But her on the hand, I would ask, advise her and try to make her happy.

I would make sure my future kids I tell them how much I love them even though they don't tell they love me in return.

Africans don't show emotions. Maybe the reason delicate words are not spoken. Hell, in some families they won't say "sex" let alone love.

My mum never ends a phone call to me without saying - "love you". I find it weird but I reply with love you too mum. I love her too much but I can't imagine being the first to tell her I love her. It just feels somehow.
