mAh means milli-amp Hour and is a unit that measures (electric) power over time. It is commonly used to measure the energy capacity of a battery. In general, the more mAh and the longer the battery capacity or battery life. A higher number means that the battery can store more energy, so it has a higher capacity. Of course, this also means longer battery life for a given usage. This can be used to provide an idea of how long a device will last, given a constant (or average) power draw rate. For instance, a 3000 mAh battery could power a device drawing 100 mA (milliamp) for 30 hours. A device drawing 200 mA would last only 15 hours. Sorry bro but milli amp hour doesn't really determine how long a device will last....depends on how the device has been programmed to function that affects the battery life.... Example is a lot of chinco phones comes with huge mah but can't last you a day of use compared to devices like Sony....with sony, applications are optimized also screen resolution affects the battery life that's why a lot of samsung phones don't last a long times and in the case of iPhone those ones are just being greedy with mah cos they have the most optimized applications lower resolutions and yet lower mah that why you always have a charger in your bag 4 Likes 1 Share |
